Hi Santosh.

Your #1 focus should be to complete the PIPS training.

Posting unique content with relevant keywords is the best way to get targeteted traffic. You can do this to the blog on your PIPS homepage (your domain) and should post fresh content as often as possible so your site will get re-indexed by the search engines.

To build back links to your site you would also post unique content with relevant keywords to article directories, social networks, Web2.0 sites, and forums.

This is all exactly 'TARGETED' traffic - targeted by KEYWORDS.

You will find basic information on this along with other techniques to get traffic in the PIPS training.

As Patrician has advised, start by reading everything in the PIPS training. It's important for you to understand first the ABC of doing online business.

To generate traffic to your site, you will have to create backlinks pointing to your PIPS blog and these can be done by writing useful content and distribute it through other online article directories like EzineArticles.com, Amazines.com, sooperarticles.com, ideamarketers.com, GoArticles.com, ArticleAlley.com and many others. You can do it manually after creating an account with each of them or you can hire an article submission company like submityourarticle.com, justarticles.com, etc... to do it for you.

You will also have to work on search engine optimisation, which is a term used to refer to the various processes or procedures through which you work to improve your website’s visibility in the search engine result pages (SERPs). You need to first of all understand the basics of theses processes.

It's also useful to participate regularly in forums like this one. It helps you to drive traffic to your website. Besides, you get to learn from experienced online marketers. I have always benefited from them a lot.

In addition to the information given in the PIPS training, I have also given some good detailed ideas on traffic generation and article writing on my blog.

Since the Google Panda Updates of December 2011- February 2012 this is no longer valid about EzineArticles.com because Google de-indexed all pages and so-called backlinks in the Author BIO at EzineArticles.

EzineArticles, in response to Google, recently (March-April) made all links in the Author BIO "no-follow" which means the links to the websites will not be followed and indexed by Google in the future.

Also, Google is systematically treating similar 'Article Directories' as EzineArticles.

You may still submit articles to article directories such as EzineArticles, but the backlinks will have little to no importance (backlink weight) to Google and will not be indexed by Google... unless the Article Directory is specific to your niche! Even then the Google Page Rank of the page will be PR0 (Page Rank Zero).

Also, Article Directories were never meant for the purpose to "drive targeted traffic" to websites. Internet Marketers devised ways to drive targeted traffic to a website and it used to work, but no longer works since the Google Panda Updates.

Article Directories are for the purpose of Article Syndication and syndication comes in many forms. Mainly, publishers of ezines search article directories for content (articles) and if the article is syndicated the end result is normally published on their websites with your backlinks included and ezines with subscribers. That means you can get targeted traffic from publishers who have the traffic and/or subscribers but need the content.

Well I always thank God that Google is not the only search engine. If so we would all be out of business.

Posting unique content IS STILL THE BEST FREE WAY TO GET FREE ORGANIC TRAFFIC - So for article directories focus on getting followers in the sense that you post something of value and people will 'follow your every word' for the good information you are sharing - even if article directories/ezines are no longer 'do follow' as far as backlinks for Google.

More power to Bing and all the other 'lesser' search engines.

Thanks for reminding me what big brother google has changed...

I stand corrected for not qualifying my statement. Of course my statements are still true for all other mediums and your blog is something you should USE OFTEN for many reasons including that it is FREE.

Gatta agree with the last thing you said as well, content is still king.

And yes, I hope the smaller search engines do rise and take some market share...even though it may not seem possible.

Lets go BING!

Thanks Jeffery and Patrician for that useful additional piece of information. Although backlinks pointing from directories will not be indexed by Google, the good thing is that you can still get targeted traffic through syndication. I think that your site can also be indexed for the content you write and post on it by Google as well as other search engines.

Hello,

The new marketer should strictly adhere to Patricia's advice, write good content with targeted keywords and you will start seeing result immediately.

Do not border stuffing your content with one keyword rather have a major keyword you are targeting and spread other related keywords in your content.

I am surprise with the kind of result i am getting now by heeding to such advice from people like Pat and co.

Start and keep working, results will surely come but you must be passionate about what you are doing or you will easily be discouraged.

If this is the case, why are all my author bios showing as regular "do follow links"?

Also, if Ezine Articles has been "de-indexed" why does it still show up if I type in "Ezine Articles" into Google. It tells me that there are 6.82 million pages in Google for Ezine articles.

My GWT list of links also shows many links from EA.

I am not sure where you get your info from, but it seems that you are misinformed ;-)

Welcome to the WarriorForum. Since you are new to the WarriorForum and make claims without qualification please share your EZA page links to your articles and your website(s) with us.

Again, please share your EZA page links to your articles and your website(s) with us. The links in your BIO may appear to be "do follow", but I can make certain of that for you once I examine 'all of your links' for you.

Also, if Ezine Articles has been "de-indexed" why does it still show up if I type in "Ezine Articles" into Google. It tells me that there are 6.82 million pages in Google for Ezine articles.
You misunderstand and that may be because I was not more clear. The majority of the pages (pages with articles) were de-indexed.

When you type "Ezine Articles" (with quotes) that means there are 6.82M pages World Wide (The entire internet indexed by Google) that have the exact match: Ezine Articles. It does not mean there are 6.82M pages at ezinearticles.com

My GWT list of links also shows many links from EA.
So? Do you fully understand GWT? GWT as well as Google Search only show 33% or less of all links to your website.

Will you please be so kind as to post all of those links here.

I am not sure where you get your info from, but it seems that you are misinformed ;-)
The information is on almost every major News Sites since February 2011 (some interviewing Chris, founder of EZA,) here is a recent one for you:
EzineArticles Hit By Google Panda Update Again | WebProNews
hundreds of threads here in this forum, countless WSOs with ebooks on the subject, and Google Panda is even discussed in some universities,

Did you read the "Helpful resources" I quoted above?

Hey Jeffrey,

Thanks for the welcome. I'm new to the forum here, but not to IM.

I don't have any IM sites - just niche ones and I don't want to list my sites here.

I went to the EA site and looked at 4 different random articles in different niches.

All are indexed in Google and can be found by entering a random phrase in quotes from the article.

http://ezinearticles.com/?Home-Dog-T...hod&id=6975820

http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Mak...%29&id=6985661

http://ezinearticles.com/?How-Invest...ast&id=6974088

http://ezinearticles.com/?Cosmetic-P...ink&id=6973164

None have a nofollow in the author bio.

The article you quote is interesting but talks more about a traffic drop rather than a de-indexing or use of nofollow links.

Peace :-)

Ah, I see why there is some confusion, so I will try to explain the best I can. When you utilize Google and surf to a specific page (URL) the end result is the URL and the keywords in the meta are "Personalized" in your Google session. Also saved for future utilization. In the SEO industry we call that a false positive. This means "our Google search results" are dependent on our 'search habits' which creates the 'false positive' in terms of 'first or so called raw Google search results'.

Tip: Use the PIPS training and resources for best practice.

I only have time to do one article for you, so I chose the first one which is in the Pet Niche at EZA, since you are not in the MLM niche.

Though, we are discussing traffic for the MLM niche or so called Make Money Online niche. I consider this fair and transparent.

In summary the first link is not indexed in the Google SERP at EZA. The article title is indexed at the author's website as it should be. Also, in fairness, EZA on page, the link to the Author's BIO and the link to the Author's Website are "not no-follow" and that is the whole point.

Google does not attribute (recognize) and index the links at EZA for the article, even though the links are released, so that is why the article is not indexed. Not that a REL attribute exists anyway.

Here are the details.
http://ezinearticles.com/?Home-Dog-T...hod&id=6975820
Google SERP: Home Dog Training: Not indexed.
Google SERP Article Title: Home Dog Training - The Clicker Method: Not indexed
Google SERP first three pages: Not indexed.:
SERP/EZA Exact Match: Home Dog Training - The Clicker Method: Indexed

About traffic and the links I recommended. The Original Poster (OP) of this thread is asking about how to get more traffic to his website. Those links are revelant to his question and explains how the majority of the backlinks from EZA are now deindexed by Google. I believe EZA quoted around 80,000 articles (backlinks) that used to attribute to traffic that were deindexed in the first 30 days. EZA will not quote the exact number since 02/2011.

Last, we are focusing on MLM and the recent 03-04 2012 Panda Updates. If you want to get into the MLM Niche you will need to follow Panda from 04/2011 to discern what is best for your own business model. PIPS training is very good at this and Pat keeps up with it professionally.

Don't let me throw you off in any way. PIPS training is very good and Pat keeps up with it professionally.

She is so busy with so much going on and we all pitch in when we can (shame on Stone - meant in a nice way).

Are you a PIPSter? Hope you join us as we would love to have you.

P.S.
Here is the most vital link for Panda that will throw Article Directories in another year of turmoil, but it is a good thing for MLM and Niche Marketing.

I think you are confusing the terminology "indexed" and "ranked"

The article examples I gave are not necessarily ranked, but they are indeed indexed.

I just wanted to show that your original statement below was not true:

because Google de-indexed all pages and so-called backlinks in the Author BIO at EzineArticles.
Google has not de-indexed all pages and backlinks in EA. Unlike blog networks like BMR, ALN etc.

It is true (as you illustrated in your above post) that EA does not have as good rankings as it used to do, but it is not true that they have de-indexed all pages in EA.

"not ranking" does not equal "not indexed"

Submitting articles to EA is still a viable method for building links to your website as long is it is part of a wider plan of building links from other sources.

Peace :-)

Judy,

No, I am not confusing "indexed" with "ranked" and I never said or eluded to your statement:

I did say..

In terms of "rank" the article you submitted is in fact PR0 (Page Rank Zero) at EZA. Also, if memory serves it was published at EZA April 02, 2012, so even if it does rank it will be difficult since it is new. Look deeper and you will find that the article is specific to the niche which is the right way to get Google backlink credit. However, the EZA page is PR0, so the backlink will not "rank" high in the SERP with Google.

I stand corrected on my comment that "all pages" are de-indexed by Google. However, go to the original EZA blog post it was around 80,000 pages in April 2011 and increased daily for more than a year which essentially de-indexed the majority of pages at EZA. Most effected were MLM articles.

Lots of changes since then. The EZA BIO Box policy recently changed only as of this month April 2012:

For now, the Resource Box changes made last week were reverted a few hours ago. We’ll study the data and look for opportunities to improve trust with our tens of millions of readers while keeping our focus on delivering highly pre-qualified traffic to your site. Over the next week, we'll analyze the data we gathered from this study and share our findings.

This is an excerpt, from April 2011. so you might want to read the whole article at EZA and WPN.
EzineArticles Aims to Get Rankings Back, Following Google Algorithm Update | WebProNews

Google’s recent algorithm update aimed at content farms has drawn a mixture of praise and criticism. Much of this has from those questioning how Demand Media’s eHow was actually helped by the update, despite often being associated with the phrase "content farm".
EzineArticles was one of the hardest-hit sites by the update. CEO Chris Knight wrote a blog post about how his site was affected, and what he is doing to try and get back up in the rankings.

"While we adamantly disagree with anyone who places the ‘Content Farm’ label on EzineArticles.com, we were not immune to this algorithm change," said Knight. "Traffic was down 11.5% on Thursday and over 35% on Friday. In our life-to-date, this is the single most significant reduction in market trust we’ve experienced from Google."
To sum it all up to the best of my ability I would say it is important to keep up (saty updated) to all of the changes at EZA and other directories.

As I eluded to earlier, the March/April 2012 Panda updates brings more changes that will benefit MLM, in my own opinion.

Ways to get targeted traffic to your new website are Social Networking Traffic ( create a profile on most social networks like Facebook and tweeter), YouTube and Video Marketing, RSS Marketing, PPC or paid Traffic, Blogging and Blog Commenting (some times can help...)
