Re: Hello,a newbie need's a mentor:D

You can determine if a website is indexed in the Google Search Engine.

1) Go to google.com

2) In the search box type this:
site:findingtheworld.com

You will see the domain, findingtheworld.com, is indexed.

Question, I assume you changed the 'domain name' from [findingtheworld.com] to [www.findingtheworld.com] in WordPress Admin > Settings > General > WordPress Address (URL)? That is the correct way.

Re: Hello,a newbie need's a mentor:D

Thanks a lot Jeffery,I chang it in seo optimaze,in wp-settings-Site Address (URL),from webmastertools-settings,only from there I din't change it.So thanks.
And you recomande me to add an social plug on my site, like facebook or twitter? So because with all that changes on the adrress now I have like 10 visitators on my site. After 9 days since is launched to have like 90 visitators?

I don't use social media plugins as I prefer to keep people on my website instead of sending them away from my website or distracting them from my opt-in form, so maybe someone else here has a good suggestion.

My advise to people is just make sure none of the plugins are encrypted.

It is okay because it will take time for the search engines to "sync" with the www. That is normal.

Question. Was the domain name [findingtheworld.com] registered and was there a website before you used this domain? If yes, then that is why the site's links are indexed without the www. Your first priority is to make sure all of the indexed links are "active links". If the indexed links are "dead links" you could create the links "anew" with quality content. Otherwise, Google will eventually de-index dead links.

Also, learn how to optimize the articles with keywords for the search engines.

Heloo,sorry for late reply.

So now when i write on google site:findingtheworld.com appear like 300 result, when i write with www appear like 130 result.

On this domain wasn't a website before i buy it,and i use keyword on every post. And I think it's a probleme if the result will repeat wright ?Because on my home page i have latest post, also they have category so google will find them like duplicate right?and also they find duplicate aricole the non www with www ?

So because i have been on a little holiday i didn't post anything on my site so now i have like 2-3 visitators..tomorrow i will se what i will do to improve my traffic. And it's strange because when I start with this site I started on a free host...with the name findingtheworld.web44.com so like in 3-4 days without index on google or any kind of seo optimaze i started to recive 20 comments on day,now with a real domain name, keywords, seo and index i have 2-3 visitators on day.

We have already answered that for you. You need to wait for the search engines (SEs) to catch up to your changes (articles), i.e. SEs Bots will eventually 'sync' the indexed files with www.

The short answer is: no.

You need to understand how SEs analyze web pages.

The Home page:
Google analyzes the home page per the the Title Tag (<title>The World Is Yours</title>) which also displays at the top of the browser window, but also appears as the linked text when potential visitors search Google.

The Inner pages:
When you use WordPress you choose the "Permalink Structure" of your choice before you publish articles (wordpress posts). Google suggests: /%category%/%postname%/Next you create your categories. Then you create your posts.

It is possible to have duplicate URLs, i.e. posts, but that is something you have to avoid and maintain as a webmaster. Best advise is to also avoid "similar post titles" which Google may consider duplicate URLs. This is easily avoided inside your Google Webmaster Tools. Also, the site will not be penalized for search engine links with or without the www according to GWT.

That is natural considering the changes you made. Before you had a sub-domain of a main domain. Now you have your own top level domain. The content on the sub-domain appears to be re-indexing in the SEs and that is normal.

Be careful that the comments are not SPAM as it will effect your SEO.

Google will usually index a top level domain (website and the pages) within 24 hours. That is if Google considers the content qualified for the Google Friendly Neighborhood.

Hi caddlac,

First, just want to let you know that this section of the Warrior Forum is for PIPS members and your site is not a PIPS site. Also, your niche is more of a "broad news niche" and your "marketing methods" are not well suited for this particular forum.

With that said, in all honesty, you would probably get more help from people in other sections of this forum. I say this because there is a section of the forum specifically for advertising and niche marketing:

Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum

About Adsense. Your website is not ready for adsense. There are specific Adsense requirements you must comply with before an Adsense account will be approved. Also, once Adsense is approved there are specific policies that you can not do. I suggest that you ask inside the Adsense section if your site is ready for Adsense.

About Affiliate Marketing. The same applies with Affiliate Marketing, but each affiliate program has its own policies.

You have to be certain about mixing Adsense and Affiliate Ads on the home page and even inner pages. Adsense is very strict and if you break policy your Adsense Account can be terminated and you will never get it back.

You also have dead links (on site links) that will hurt your Google Page Rank. One random link is:
http://www.findingtheworld.com/category/gadgets/

Go to this website and scan your site:
Sucuri SiteCheck - Free Website Malware Scans

You will see a list of your links. Also, note that your permalink structure is in bad shape. That must be fixed to result in a better Page Rank.

We are talking about this dead link:
http://www.findingtheworld.com/category/gadgets/

That is a link on your site that does not exist and there may be others as I only gave you one as I do not have time to check all of your links. You could manually check all of them yourself and you could also install the WordPress plugin Broken Link Checker:
WordPress › Broken Link Checker « WordPress Plugins

That is the permalink structure recommended by Google's Matt Cutts. Since you have a 'news site' you may want to include the date/day/category/postname. Up to you. Keep in mind the permalink structure must be the same for the whole site. Your present structure is completely out of order.

Using Permalinks « WordPress Codex

Maybe try /%postname%.html

That little secret makes posts "look like" pages. Lol.

I think Google sees them as a little more informative. But use with caution. Sometimes my inner posts have outranked my homepage because of it. :D

I wouldn't because it is a "news" site that pulls in content from specific URLs wherein the page (%postname%.html) traditionally creates penalties in GWT for duplicate URLs. Unless the URL is manually renamed and responded to in GWT - Google will de-index the URL.

I am actually getting divergent ideas on social media plugins. Many SEO experts will tell you to use social media buttons to enable visitors to share the information. But you have a different and justifiable opinion on it.

What would you advise others? And what do others say?

Yes Jeffery, I read your point where you said that you don't install social media plugins on your site for fear of taking way visitors. But on the other hand, I have come across several marketers who will always tell you to put social media buttons to enable your visitors to share your content. I was looking at the two schools of thought and wanted to get more ideas on the them.

are you using a plugin to report you the broken links? cause that could be seen as an error as well, also you can use WP sitemap generator that will help your ranking.... run a Database health check... and those should fix most issues.
cheers
