This is just for fun... We all make mistakes especially when we are trying something foreign to us...like starting an internet marketing business. I'm sure all of us can relate. Maybe you can share some of your most memorable or even funny newbie mistake. The more we can share it here, hopefully, the less it will be committed. OK, I'll start off... Over two years ago, I had my first experience trying internet marketing. I came across a site that will build a cookie-cutter site for me to promote. I had to go through steps, just like we did with PIPS. On the part where I should register a domain name, I had my first newbie mistake. The page had yourdomainnamehere.com as example. I did not know that I should replace that with the domain name of my choice. I ended up buying yourdomainnamehere.com for 2 years The webmaster emailed me if I'm sure I want to use it as my site's name. I called him and he helped me choose an appropriate domain name. Fast forward... A few months ago, I received a letter from the registrar to renew yourdomainnamehere.com LOL! |

Ok here is my mistake, the same one 97% of marketers make. Trying internet marketing. Problem is I am hooked and can't quit. It just keeps costing me money and probably a happy home and wife. Football and Basketball she will talerate. Jim |

After my first 10 months in business I lost my first domain name and a list of 125,000 due to autoresponder spamming while I was on a week vacation in Mexico in July of 2003. Not funny, but certainly a memborable event I had to overcome. |

My mistake... Emailing my list of subscribers some information and then having a link to buy my product every 2nd line of the email...LOL My unsubscribe ratio went up... What I learned: Do not shove your product down people's throats. If they want it they will find you. Pavon |

Hi, I joined PIPS and did not do anything 3 months after signing. A Planned day and consistency in doing things is a must in all areas of the business. it doesn't have to be really big but pay close attention to the most important things. It's really working for me now.. |

Oh boy if I had the money now that I spent after I left PIP the first time, I could have joined all the PIP programs and paid lifetime fees...lol My mistake was jumping on every program that I saw that said I could make a quick buck, I was a part of so many online businesses that I could not remember which ones I was a part of, then I kept seeing these online charges to my credit cards and I could not remeber where the charge was coming from...what a waste of money. |

I worked for months on a new program - come the big day of launching my special program. I sent out the launch information - what happened???? I sent out the download page instead of the introduction page. My 12,000 subscribers got a free program which I was planning to make some bucks on. Got lots of 'thank you' notes. P.S. I was not a newbie - had marketed for several years already. |
