Help!! Mentor needed
 

Hi everyone,

My name is Luuk and I'm new in internet marketing, mhh not really new because I have a little company in the Netherlands with about 20 sites (some wordpress with what content). About a weak ago I bought a WSO on this forum and I really liked it. I build the site, tried to get traffic, tried to get backlinsk and tried to get sales.

But... unfortunatly i didn't get any sale! So i'm searching for a mentor, just someone who can help me getting traffic, and learn more about internet marketing.

Can u help me? leave a message with your e-mail here. (i have no budget for this, because this is more a hobby, I can give more then 10+ backlinks with 2-3 PR, it are only dutch sites. )

The key, Luuk - is 'about a week ago' (you bought WSO)

Add to WHATEVER strategy you use, T-I-M- E and M-O-M-E-N-T-U-M

Keep taking action - this is not ever about do something once and sit back and wait for the money - it is keep pushing aggressively and consistently.

Thanks for your reply. I understand your point. But I have no strategy, with my WSO I builded a complete website ready to make sales, not how to promote it, I made some backlinks, posted my powerpoint and little pdf on a couple sites and I didn't do more because I didn't know what to do.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I was the same way in 2002.

I spent over 10K to get a website built, upload my products (physical not digital)... and "waited' for my 1st sale... and I waited and waited and ended up loosing every penny I spent.

Nobody told me I had to know what I was doing, or at least have an idea of what was required to make money on the internet. they just took my money and probably laughed all the way to the bank.

That was a very expensive lesson learned.

Starting out in Internet Marketing, more specifically Affiliate Marketing, you should probably consider your run to success as a "marathon", NOT a 100 yard dash. It takes TIME!

Also, it takes a lot of reading, signing up for webinars, and did I mention reading? Just like in college, you have to read and learn before you can get your degree.

Online marketing is NO DIFFERENT!

I have a newbie library for those just starting out with an online business on my allenlundy(dot)com website! It's just basic newbie information that may help you learn a few things about starting and getting your online business in 1st gear.

It's a beginning, and by taking your time and reading some of the ebooks you will receive (yes, you will have to sign up for my autoresponder series to get the download page - but, as soon as you get the link to download the eBooks, should you decide to, you can immediately unsubscribe at the bottom of the download email).

Don't worry too much about sales at this point in time.

The sales WILL come as you get more knowledge and become more proficient and comfortable.

To be honest, it was over 2 full years of trying before I made more than a single sale here or a single sale there. i think my 1st year I made maybe 150 dollars. But, I DIDN'T GIVE UP!

If you don't take the time to LEARN as much as you can before you spend yourself into major debt your chances of online success are minimal at best.

I can tell you just like everyone else will tell you... the money is in the list.

Start learning about traffic generation techniques. Make sure you have a quality autoresponder (I have used GetResponse for over 6 years... in MY opinion it's the best autoresponder on the market)

Get into article marketing (since you already have a few blogs, write a quality article every day for every blog you have. Submit your unique articles (one's you have personally written) to Article Directories. The more articles you have on the internet, the more people you will eventually see come to your online real estate.

Don't get frustrated... it takes time to get everything running smoothly. If anyone tells you I have the 'secret' to your over night success... RUN!

There are no quick, get rich 'secrets', just knowledge that comes with time.

I understand - everybody's strategy should be building back links - so my point is keep building them - you can never have too many and you never have enough! - so you have a major strategy and that is how you will build and sustain momentum over time -

add to this maybe a blog linked to the site where you post as often as possible discussing your website, online business, your experiences, ideas, advice, etc. put a link to your ebook on there.

Learn everything you can about SEO (search engine optimization) and start using keywords in the blog that are relevant to your business - there are lots of free tools and sites that can teach you about search engines. They drive and direct traffic - so you want them to be 'on your side!'

Start promoting a squeeze page in traffic exchanges etc to promote your ebook - more strategy.

Wow! both of you thanks for posting a reply. It really motivated me.



I have now a sales page (and about 10 visitors a day), it is a standard page, with content from a bought WSO (so many people use it). A copywriter, just wrote for me about 2000 words, ill upload that in a couple of days, that would be great for the rankings now all my content is unique.

I just have to keep going with making backlinks, the optimalisation of my site and i guess the next thing to do is build a e-mail list.

Hey there Luuk!

It encourages me how you do this :)

I am going to start my first campaign within a few months, so I'm quite new into this as well. I think that it will be useful to share our thoughts some times. We are both new into this scene, and I'm convinced we can easily learn from each other and help each other (which improves your own skills most of the time as well!).

I am also Dutch, so it'll be easy to have contact without misunderstandings :)
