September last year I created a project: blog to sell that includes an ebook. Shortly after the blog was online I was forced to abandon the project. Today, my son pointed out to me that I did not complete the project, but the site is averaging between $100 and $150 a month in sales of the ebook. That surprised me because I never advertised the site and I never submitted it to the search engines though all of the on-site SEO was completed.

This blog is PR0 (Page Rank Zero) and makes sales!

I am not completely surprised because though it is rare I see this from time to time. What does surprise me is it earns and I never promoted it. Usually if I do not promote a blog it does not make any sales. Especially a PR0 blog. This one does, so I took some time to find out ..why?

I think the ebook has an unusual name that attracts a specific niche in terms of keywords. Actually, the content applies to all niche markets. Honestly, I was going to change the name of the ebook before the blog went live and just never got around to it.

The stinker of this is I never completed the opt-in form either, so there is no list. Although, on some of my sites for direct sales, at this price I don't include the opt-in form anyway. I am not one of those people that sends offers to people when I do not have a relevant product.

Traffic wise: My logs reflect the traffic is purely organic search engine traffic. 2 to 5 unique visitors day.

I think this is one of those times when we can throw Google out with the web-wash?

Congrats for that .
To be honest, put some money on your blog and get it SEO optimized. It is like a business. If it is generating 100-150 bucks monthly then spend moeny to get its backlinks, keyword specific and stuff like that. You will notice that in a month or two the organic traffic will increase and you will get more response.
