New to PIPS with direction questions
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Here I am soliciting some advice and good words.

I'm feel I'm being torn in many directions and can use some guidance to calm me down.

I've done some things already.
1. My PIPS site is up. Posted to it twice. Got my GetResponse account for the year

2. I've had the site SEO's and I'e keywords selected for my posts

3. I've joined - Affiliate Power Group - this allows me to ask lots and lots of questions and there's additional training info to Stone's stuff. The people involved with this are PIPS people so I like this.

4. I've put two posts on my site but have not done enough backlinking

5. I've got a splash page to use in the list builders. I'm using the ones in TrafficHoopla. I've only 4 up and running. Getting credits takes a lot of time. I found that the one's Stone recommends take the same amount of clicking time for credits and have used them in the past. They generate a ton of incoming emails and TrafficHoopla is more like websurfing.

The biggest issue is that there is a ton of information coming at me as to what to do to make this work. A part of me feels that I've I'm generating traffic to my site I ought to have additional income producing items on it.

If I'm writing reviews of products to garner traffic - I should be affiliates of the programs/products

Clearly that is the purpose of PIPS in the first place. To bring people to the programs it holds. Most of those programs are geared toward longer term income - isn't that correct?

Shouldn't I be having some additional things on there that could be purchased for more immediate income?

Understanding that traffic is king - regardless of what is on my site - I'd like to hear what some of you other, more successful PIPers have done?

Thanks for your shares in advance

Hi Karen,

Welcome to PIPS! I recognize your name from the APG but your going to get your "hand slapped" as your not allowed to put affiliate links in your posts here in the PIPS forum or any part of the Warrior Forum. I would take those out asap.

The key is you have to do a little bit of everything as your business comes together....that includes blogging, seo, article writing, directory submissions, building new pages to your site, etc.

As for generating income immediately (based on the PIPS income streams being geared more to long term income) you are free to change and add anything you want to your site. The PIPS income streams can get you income in 30 days if you have the traffic that builds your business including sending people to your pips sale page where you can get sales on several programs at once.

Clickbank is a popular directory where you can find products to list on your site that pay commission if a visitor buys the product..

Just remember you are building a foundation for your "house". All the things you are currently doing you must do everyday, every other day, etc.

Hope this helps!

Okay, I think I'm safe now w/o links. My most humble apologies. Guess I should have read the directions better. Sometimes that's all I feel I'm doing is reading directions of how to do something.

I wanted to make an ebook available on my website. Suzanne was kind enough to send me the directions - then that became the day's project and the post did not get written.

Calm down - right?

Thanks Jeff. Is this the place I should be posting these types of things? It's so nice to have access to APG as well.

Just don't want to be a pest AND I actually do not know what I am doing. It's nice to have a website with a domain name. It's nice to have PIPS sales page. And a splash page with 6 bonus books.

Just not sure I know what to do with it all.

Would I/should I be adding some clickbank good stuff to my same website? I see APG announced new niche pages. I signed on for MAPS.

Lots of stuff.

Would be nice to make a mind map of all this - except I'm too confused to get it out of me onto a map.

Let's see if my signature box works - just figured that part out.

Thanks - Karen

Karen - you do realize you have an eBook available for download that came with the installation of your PIPS website, right? Dotcomology is a 375 page eBook. It is sent as well to your subscribers after they confirm their subscriptoin to your newsletter.

p.s. your signature looks perfect - good job!

p.s.s. you should focus on promoting your PIPS website and sales page - using the blog on your home page and building back links.

It sounds like you are frazzled because you are trying to focus on too many things at once. You need to focus on the bottom line first and then all the other stuff can come gradually. Every day you are not marketing your site is another day where you are no closer to making money.

(but I do understand the concept of making money in the short-term while you are building your momentum on the residual income programs - however again that takes your focus off PIPS).

Patricia, I guess I did not realize I can make Dotcomology available other than through my 2nd email on the autoresponder. That is what you are saying, yes?

Are there instructions for making this book available?

So you're saying -
1. Use my affiliate link as much as possible and get it out there
2. Articles and blogs on my site to get people signed up to my list
3. All the other traffic ways getting people to the PIPS page

In my real estate investment life I'm so used to mind mapping everything - is an easy way to look at things. Everything so far is a very a lot of words.

And I am working on not being to harsh on myself. I've never done this before.

thanks, Karen

Take a look at your website Karen - you can see it on your home page on the right column where it has been pushed down by Suzanne's books.

It's big and it's blue and you can't miss it. Says 'Get your Free eBook' and if they click the graphic they will go to the site for downloading the book.

Then take a look at the Free Newsletter page: Free Newsletter

There it is again!

Hi, Karen:

It's good to see you here asking questions and digging for more insight. That's the way to do it, even though it all feels like information overload and it seems like a jumbled mess. I've been there! (I think most PIPS members have been.) It does get better as things become more familiar.

I hear you about wanting to get a number of the recommended tasks done, and then being sidetracked and delayed by one particularly challenging project! I have gotten so frustrated, thinking that there has to be a better way, but at the end of the day it all comes down to learning each thing, even if it takes the whole day to do it. Again, it does get easier, the more you learn and the more familiar you become with each step or technique.

It's like Jeff Casmer said: You are building the foundation for your "house." You have a number of bricks to place before the structure of it begins to take shape. The process takes time (and patience - tell me about it! lol) and despite the urgency we feel as newbies, there is no rush.

We take it one day at a time and no matter how frustrating one particular day might be, as long as we are doing something designed to help our business in some way, then we can rest assured that we ARE making progress.

A word about adding products/services and modifying our websites: as others have indicated, that is our privilege and our responsibility as marketers planning for the future. It involves another huge learning curve, but in the long run it is purposeful and has value.

Keep asking questions. Keep studying. Keep applying what you learn and working through the challenges and setbacks. And you WILL succeed.

Karen, welcome to PIPS. I am sure you will do very well.

I joined in September 2011. I remember those days and I felt just like you. Torn, distressed. Just awful. I spent a lot of money on other programs. Big mistake!

PIPS is the way to go. Once I realized that, and started concentrating on my site and pluginprofits link, things started to change. I am making money and it seems to be growing every day.

You must build backlinks. As Patrician would put it, you must feed your "SEO monster". Write blogs and articles.

Believe me, it will come together.

I invested in a program that I pay $49 a month to build backlinks, articles, and a whole lot more. I like it and it helps. Send me an email and I will let you know what the name is or go to my website. I always mention it at the bottom of my posts.

I know you have what it takes. Also dedicate some time to your mind set.
Here on the PIPS warrior forum go to the motivational posts I started.

Good luck. Consider me a friend and will help all I can

Hi Karen...

Welcome to the forum.

It looks like you are very serious about learning Internet marketing and making money from your efforts.

There are good people here at the WF, and there are good people at APG. Do not be afraid to ask questions.

I signed up to PIPS under Suzanne. I bugged her a lot. But, she helped me a ton.

Like most have said before me, don't get in a rush to do everything. It will take time.

The training will help you to expand your home business at a later date. It seemed like I was working on PIPS 24/7/365 for the first year. But with all the things I learned thru PIPS, I was able to build my confidence and the second year I started building my own websites and get them ranked quickly using the PIPS methods.

Hello Karen,

Welcome to the Warrior Forum. Yes, you apparently have done something, but probably you have not done enough to begin earning some income from your online business.

I'm happy that what you have done so far shows how serious, ambitious, enthusiastic and committed you are to develop your business and earn extra income from it. You have just started the road and you only have to persistently walk your way to success.

Luckily, you have joined this forum where you will get a lot of useful tips and information to take your business to another level. I'm glad people like Jeff, Patrician and GT are already giving you very important information.

Succeeding in online business requires a lot of persistence, had work and knowing to do the right things in the right way. Of course, you have also to be creative. The good thing, there is always a lot of room for creativity, which allows you to position yourself well.

One lesson I learnt is that selling your own product alongside other affiliate products is more gainful. As you walk your way to success in your online business, always think about having your own product. It should be at the back of your mind. Promote affilite products to create multiple streams of income.

Now that you are a PIPS member, you already have good affilite products to promote, thanks to Stone Evans' initiative to look for us the best products. What you need to think about is to come up with a product of your own that you can sell alongside the affiliate products you promote.

Hello all--I've been checking into packaged IM business opps to launch my home business and finally get something to sink my teeth into. Tired of looking at all the shinny programs. PIPS looks interesting but have not purchased yet. Do you all recommend this system? Is this the official WF for PIPS members?
