1. Upgrading GetResponse
2. Buying leads from GetResponse
3. Buying hits from TrafficSwarm (I was never interested in bot traffic anyway LOL)

I know I have 30 days to upgrade GetResponse and I'm a firm believer of "the money is in the list" - that's a proven fact.

How-ev-er - where can I go to get free leads and build up a solid list and/or new sign-ups without investing any more funds until I start MAKING money to re-invest into this business?

There has to be some way of doing that.

Here are some ideas I'm working on but I'm not sure how "quickly" they'll work:

1. Syndicating my RSS feed (in lieu of traditional article marketing) - I imported 50 articles from my former blog into this new one and have my old URL pointing to this new one. That works for all of the articles I've had floating around here and there for the last four years.
2. Posting on Twitter, Facebook and forums
3. Building backpage.com ads. I can post ads in multiple cities really, really cheap.
4. Writing and distributing press releases - that's helped get traffic to my "primary" business
5. Other forum participation

Can anyone point me in the direction of something I may have missed?

Yes - promoting your PIPS website -

Focus on getting traffic and at the same time you will build your list when people subscribe on your newsletter page.

If you use the blog on your home page, often and consistently, the search engines will re-index your site every time you have fresh content.

This will cause your site to be on a higher page each time, where you will get free, organic traffic when someone searches for your keywords.

The index is like a pile of paper - if you don't get re-indexed there will be a million sites that do - each day - and they will be on a higher page than yours and you will be on the bottom of the pile.

Now you know when you search you would not sit there and look through more than 10 pages of links at the maximum - actually probably only the first or second page, right?

So your goal is to be on the highest page you can - and the way to do that is to get your site re-indexed - best if you can do that 1 or 2 times per week - minimum 1 or 2 times per month.

(you probably know all this already and I am speaking generally for the benefit of everyone - thank you for the opportunity to stress this).

At the same time keep in mind the object here is direct sales - so you want to also promote your PIPS affiliate sales page aggressively as it is a direct response format (the application).

People are so focused on their 'list' - 'the money is in the list' - blah blah - the list is only a bunch of email addresses with potential.

Most lists are 'cold leads' that are actually a 1 in 1000000 chance of a sale. Subscribers are 'warm leads' - they have responded directly to your ad or your invitation to opt-in on your 'Free Newsletter' page. -- but again they are just leads and maybe 1 in 10000 will ever represent cash in your pocket.

Not saying the list is not important - it is - but building a foundation and branding yourself you do with your website. Direct sales you do with the sales page.

With all due respect - people need to focus on completing the training and implementing as many things as they can and find out what all has been provided for free by Stone -

Don't be put off by his advice or recommendations because you can't afford them right now. Just learn as much as you can and make a note to go back someday if you get some extra money. There is NO OBLIGATION.

You have some very good ideas here and together with focusing on this program and what it provides for you right now for free, it looks like you have a plan.

Please give Stone a chance to show you what he knows before you start looking elsewhere for ideas. Not that people here won't have some good experience to share with you - but I have seen it for 8 years now where people lose their focus on what is really going to work - right from day one and they completely miss the point.

Then they say the program didn't work - which is funny because they never give it a chance.

But heck - it is all about staying motivated and having the 'spirit' and you have a very positive and excited one so I am sure whatever you do it will work.

(and again I think your ideas are excellent)


p.s. to add to the strategies - yours and the ones I mention keep in mind the concept of leads portals - for example where you offer your free ebook Dotcomology - a 375 page encyclopedia of the 'science of making money online' - each PIPS member has a copy on their website that is branded with their affiliate ID.

Offer something in exchange for their email address - you are doing that on your website but you can advertise it on it's own as well- Stone provides some beautiful images and banners that you can use to do this. (see the training index page at the bottom where there is a link to 'images and banners'.

A portal can offer any number of free things besides your newsletter or Dotcomology - just always make the exchange their email address.

I would suggest to incorporate some kind of viral traffic generation in your funnel, for this you can make a page after the signup (thank you page) where subscribers can suggest your page through facebook and twitter in order to receive an even better gift, that way your squeeze would go viral, and your effort results will double at least.

Also offer a $1 trial or something in your download page, that way you can start your low ticket buyers list, if they buy, offer a high ticket offer, also segment your list, if they don't buy offer a mid ticket offer, segment every inch of your customers and follow-up accordingly.
