Facebook is believed to be the biggest social media network with the biggest number of visitors per day.

But have you ever thought about creating a page for your PIPS business? Who has one? Has it helped you? How has it helped you? What technique has helped you to see positive results? Tell us and we learn from you!

I do not (yet) have a Facebook (FB) "page" for my PIPS business, but now that I am learning about FB, I may set up a PIPS page. I just joined FB a few weeks ago, so it is all still fairly new to me, but setting up a page is relatively simple.

The easiest way to do this is login to Facebook, click on the Pages link and build your own.

You can add graphics, text and links and send people to your optin page, your sales page, or even to specific articles.

It takes a few minutes to acclimate to this, but, it's very easy to do and you should have your FACEBOOK SITE up and running in about 15-20 minutes, depending on how much you want to do.

Yes Allen, setting it up is very easy and there is a lot of support given by Facebook through their "Help" section. But knowing the techniques involved in Facebook marketing is much more than just creating the account. Using it to promote your business successfuly is what probably we need to know from those who have used it and found it working well for them.

We create and manage Facebook pages for our TCD Pro Social Media clients and I have found that you can get a Facebook fan page ranked in the top 10 much more quickly than your own website. For example do a search on "empower network" and you will see there is a Facebook fan page in the top 10.

I recommend setting up a fan page and using your target keywords in the url. I recommend linking to your Fan page from article submissions and your website. I also highly recommend that you post informative content on your fan page and not just links to your sales page. I also recommend that you link out to other people articles from your social media as well as your blog. No one wants to do this but there is plenty of evidence that it will get you a lot of respect from Google because it shows you are out to provide valuable content that is not just self serving. In fact, for our TCD Pro clients we link out to other people's articles from their blogs and facebook fan pages almost as much or more as we link to their own content.
