Please Let me Explain Something
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

HI.

The Member Support Forum is for everyone to ask and answer questions as best they can. Nobody knows everything including me. Wherever you can help please do and of course don't hesitate to ask.

I hesitate to jump right in many times because (1) it may discourage others from answering (2) I don't want this to be too much about me. I am on the helpdesk and if anyone wants me I am there.

I am member support 'director' that means after the member has been added I work with them to iron out the wrinkles and get going.

Beyond that, I direct people to resources that can help them if I feel the answer is outside the scope of the helpdesk which is primarily administrative and technical.

Many times if someone is discouraged or skeptical I have spent 30 minutes or more writing a long response to encourage or straighten them out.

Only people who constantly, everyday send me one question after the other, that is actually explained in the training or training related, will be advised to come here for answers.

Lots has been said about the need for mentoring. While a forum can be used for mentoring, it is not the same thing at all. A forum implies 'discussion' and certainly that would be included in mentoring, however, much more is implied.

Some happen to be people who are able to 'work on their own' and many prefer this. However, there are those that really need to be guided and need the structure and discipline of being accountable to someone else.

Bottom line, we do the best we can and I apologize if you feel you are not getting the responses you want in the forum.

Don't be afraid to get in conversations - if your first question doesn't get the response you needed, don't be embarassed to explain further so that maybe someone can help you.

Hi Pat,

Maybe this will encouarge more people to participate in the discussions and ask the questions here.

I know what it's like to have a load of questions and not know who to ask. This forum has been of great value to me cause it has answered most of my questions.

Just post your ?'s here and wait for an answer or do a search. Most likely your question has been asked before somewhere. A little research may land you a wealth of information.

I really appriciate this forum. I am kind of a figure it out myself person but when I have had a question it has always been answered here. I also like the fact that no matter what the question I ask even if it's a dumb one I am answered very respectfully. Thank You all for the help.

Hello, all:

I sometimes get frustrated with forum answers because of the time delay in asking a question and getting an answer ... then sometimes having to go back and forth clarifying the question or the answer.

But all in all, I am a STRONG promoter of the value of forums. I learn so much from other members, and more than that, I am encouraged and inspired by many of my fellow members.

Thank you, Patricia, for your comments and explanations in this thread. I know from my past experience in corporate management that you must often find yourself between a rock and a hard place, being the lightening rod for all the evil that disgruntled members might inflict upon you in their moments of frustration. Hang in there! Though we don't often express it, we do appreciate what you do on behalf of the overall program.

GT :-)

Hi Pat,

I also like your style and respect you for your fast action in any question that you think you have to answer. I really appreciate that. It would be good if you can introduce this forum in the beginning of the 30 days training guide. New member can log in to this forum and ask how to get started. That will avoid them from spending unnessessary money. I had spend a lot from the begining as I thought since I want to make money online I have to follow all in the 30 days training. If I came to this forum earlier, I could have save that money and I can now join PPG which I found (from the reply I get in this Forum) more usefull. For me now I am quite comfortable with this forum and can ask whatever I want to ask. Thanks for you guidance Pat.

To be candid i was among those that always direct my questions or problem to the help desk before now.

The truth of the matter is that most newbies don't know about this forum not untill the 17th day of the success guide.

Therefore, i suggest that the forum recomendation should come in the 2nd day. This will actually less the burdens to those at the helpdesk section.

I've seen that suggestion a few times. But from a marketing standpoint it won't happen.

I appreciate this thread and feel as if I've had something explained.

I agree and I will approach Stone with the idea of making it sooner. I think the reason he puts it off is there is just sooooo much information already barraging the new member - (I have jokes about just surviving the application!)

Stone and his efforts (and success) are largely about FOCUS - at first he recommends just to focus on the training and getting your promotions started.

Let me see what we can do to change his thinking on this (not promising anything except I will try)...

Good points being mentioned here. Indeed, the Warrior Forum should be put somewhere nearer into the beginning. But Stone might have to restructure the Training Guide if that's to happen. Plus, maybe the Forum was put that far back for a specific reason? I wouldn't know.

But bringing the Warrior Forum up close is definitely a better choice - I can't remember if I speed-readed my way to it or I found it through mucking around with my Host4Profit links... I think it was the mucking around. If I didn't muck around with it, I'd probably never find this forum.

Hmm...

I vote: "Bring The Warrior Forum To Day Two Of 30-Day-Guide"

Hi Pat,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the forum, I fully agree that mentoring in the true sense of the word is one to one whereas in the forum you can ask a question and get dozens of replies. If you are not sure about the responses you can reply to them for clarification until you get to the point where you are happy with the information you have been given.

I don’t really remember how or when I discovered the WF but I bless the day that I did because it’s the best by far and yes Pat, as GT, Kym and others have said, we do very much appreciate all that you do even though we may not always remember to say it.

regards,

Mal.
