Hey guys! I've been searching every few days to see if my PIPS site gets indexed for the keywords I used and I just checked the first 11 pages. Granted I haven't built LOADS of backlinks yet because I am primarily focusing on content, but I have done some optimization, changing meta tags, alt tags, including the keywords in content, changing my few backlinks to linked keywords, etc. I'd have thought it might show up somewhere in there, but it's obviously buried deep in the results. Anyway, I'm not really sure the point of this post. I guess it's just driving me nuts cuz it'll be harder than I thought getting up there, even with not too highly sought after keywords. I have made a few modifications to a version of the site I have on my computer that hasn't been uploaded yet. Maybe when it gets uploaded it will help. I'm going to be article posting and forum/blog posting like mad once I get the site at least closer to how I want it. Luckily, I know enough HTML to take the pre-built site and run with it. I don't completely know enough to revamp it entirely and make it totally unique yet as I am still learning, but I know enough to know what most of the code means and how to modify small bits to meet my needs, as well as where to replace code or remove it if necessary. I've been hard at work the past few days. Between revamping my site a bit and packing to move in a couple weeks, I've been super busy! Once I get settled in the new place, my life should be MUCH easier! Anyway, hopefully once I get my site how I want it and get a few hundred good backlinks, I'll start doing a bit better. |

Hi Zhuuraan My advice is just focus on building backlinks and that will push your site higher up in the search engine rankings. Cheers for now Cyn |

Yep, that is my intention once I get my site a little more personalized. I've written my own feature article, slightly altered the name of the newsletter, and labeled graphics, as well as a few other minor touchups. I think I am going to create my own image for the newsletter picture. I have a cool logo creator program that can probably do something with that too. Should be fun to play with anyway. I'll finish my little touchup work and stuff and then I'll get cracking posting backlinks like mad. Well, not too mad, lol. |

As hard as you've been working I'm sure your site will get there in no time. As Cyn said, just keep building backlinks. Without traffic and getting people to your site, the other work is in vain. But, once you do get the traffic, that extra work will pay off. |

Also, to save you time searching page after page, you can use this neat tool. Peter Lee told us about it a while back. It's called ExactFactor and you can plug-in up to 50 keyword phrases and when you make it to the top 100 in any of the 3 major search engines, it will show you what page and your position. It automatically sends me a report every week or you can check it randomly just by logging in. You can even track your competitors. Try it out for free at: ExactFactor - Automated SEO service & SEO tools Leon |

Hi Zhuuran, If it's any consolation, your site is indexed already by the search engines. I found your site in it. However, if you're trying to rank for "Home Business Ideas and Opportunities", you're going to have to work REALLY, REALLY, REALLY hard (or outsource the whole thing). Reason for that is there are 73,900,000 results for that phrase and in quotes, there are 75,900 competitors. Some of whom you will notice are our own PIPS Power Group people and they've been at this game for a loooong time. Don't expect to rush up the search engine results pages (SERPS) so quick for competitive words. It'll definitely take time. Think of it as if you own a McDonald's store and you're trying to get your specific location up into the search engines and you are competing against the rest of the franchisees in the world. Asher |

I realize that. However, I used that Yahoo tool to check backlinks and stuff and a lot of those PIPS sites, even in the first 10 pages, had very few backlinks. At least one or two were the default page. I am using Home Business Ideas, which google said only had like 147 monthly searches or something like that. It's true using a popular one is a drawback in that it takes longer to climb the search result ladder, but the rewards would be even more fruitful. Once you get up there in the higher up search results, you end up having a much more popular keyword and more people trying to find what you've got. |

Hi Zhuuraan, It takes a long time to build your backlinks but it's one of the best ways to achieve top search engine ranking. Everything seems to be dependent on the quantity and more importantly the quality of your backlinks pointing to your site e.g. SERP, page rank, organic traffic etc. So my advice to you is focus on this as your immediate goal. I've found blog commenting to be a good way to get a lot of backlinks, so just try to do lots of blog commenting. Peter Lee |

Yes, thanks a bunch Leon. I just got my report from ExactFactor and while I am still in 100+ for all the keywords I entered, it is still very handy. I am going to upload a new version of my site in a minute, but first I am going to throw in a few more meta keywords. |

When you drop the Blogger blog and get a real one, learn how to use it, post on it regularly, comment on other "real" blogs and start getting some viral traffic you might then see some better results.

I don't understand why you say a "real blog" instead of a blogger one. A blog is a blog, no matter what the service. However, I do agree with Stone that it should be on my own domain, and I was planning to do that via FTP, but they are having some FTP issues at the moment. If you have a better suggestion, I am willing to hear it, but in the meantime I don't appreciate you referring to my blog as not being a "real blog" Thank you very much! |

Sorry I reacted the way I did as well. I was a little bit moody yesterday. I'm not particularly sure why, but I apologize nonetheless. I think what I will do is keep my blogger blog, but put up another one on my PIPS site and transfer some of the articles to it. I have a few on my blog that wouldn't be suitable for my PIPS site like a myLot one and stuff. But, doing that I can have two places to make my post. If I feel like making one that doesn't fit with my PIPS one, I can put it only on Blogger, and if it fits on both then I'll put it on both. The one on the PIPS site would probably be good to put up some modified PLRs and stuff like that. I've definitely got some work to do, but it will be done. Thanks for the offer of getting it up for free. I appreciate that. I should probably figure out how to do it on my own though. I'm not bad with following instructions, so I will read them and see if it's simple enough and if not then I will see about getting some help. |

Lol hmm, I just looked at your link and it looks a heck of a lot better than anything I could do. Even if I could get it working and all, getting all those plugins and stuff might take some doing. I think I might take you up on that offer after all.

Hi, I'm new to pips and though I have managed to go through the 30 day training, I am still a little lost when it comes to Blogs and Backlinks. I think I understand what they are and how to use them, However I am lost when you start talking real and not real blogs. I have looked at the wordpress site setup and became even more lost. The Site looks great and I wish I had some funds to put into getting it set up for myself. The bottom line is that I failed to see what the difference in the blog at the WordPress site and Bloggers site. They are both big blog sites and the only thing I can gather is that WordPress is a more prestigious site than Bloggers. I've only been at this 2 weeks now so forgive my ignorance in these matters but I would like a watered down (less Technical) explanation. Also what is the service fee to switch over to WordPress from Blogger? Bright Blessings TheTiny1 |

In my experience, it seems that blogger and wordpress are good for different purposes. Blogger ones are better and easier to use for personal blogs, while WordPress seems to be more geared toward business related or professional blogs. Wordpress can be installed and managed from your own site while Blogger, although it can publish to another site, is still managed from their site. Also, by installing WordPress software on your site, you have full admihn priviledges. Both are free, but to have someone else install wordpress will usually cost. For a blog related to your PIPS programs, I would agree with houdy and say to get a wordpress one. I haven't yet messed with the one he set up for me because I am not at home right now, so I'm not online much, but it's definitely more professiojnal looking and more flexible, and once you learn what you are doing, the flexibility only increases. |

Hi Zhuuraan, Getting a free WordPress install from Houdy is worth every penny! Seriously I have paid him to do blogs for me in the past including my new Aloha-Blog.com. I also had him do one a couple of weeks ago for my brother and paid for that. He does a great job and WP is far superior to Blogger as you will see after you get yours going. Good luck! |

Yeah lol well I am at home now, so I will definitely work on getting it up and running and transferring several of my blogger posts to wordpress, as well as a few of my rewritten plrs. I definitely appreciate him installing it for me and I can't wait to see how it turns out. I will send a broadcast on the list when it's up too. |
