Somebody else is using the domain name I legally own. What recourse do I have.

If they are promoting it for you let them keep doing it!

I guess it's not your PIPS domain you are referring to? The site looks fine.

Contact the host and registrar for the domain in question.

If you go to yahoo and type in my domain name(www.Quickfinancialfreedom.com) it comes up to a financial company in wyoming on their site not mine.

When I do that - I get an error but then the company site shows with your url listed as the TITLE - and when I click on it the site in the address bar of the browser is not your url, but theirs.

It will show you my Pips site if you are using a search engine other than yahoo, If you go to yahoo and then try and access the site it comes up with the company in wyoming on thier website.

According to the whois, this domain dropped on March 6, 2009. Did you just buy it or did you fail to renew it ?

I purchased it on March 7th. I had somebody do all the submissions for me. Apparently Yahoo did nothing with the manual submission. I contacted the company that did the submissions for me and they are supposed to resubmit.

You are using the yahoo search box and not the address bar, hence the result. And since your home page is not indexed yet with Yahoo, it shows a different site. Same is true with MSN. But if you type it in the address bar, it will go to your PIPS site.

When you type www.quickfinancialfreedom.com in the Google search box, your site is #1 in the result with double listing. It means that Google indexed your home page and your site is the most relevant result for the term "www.quickfinancialfreedom.com"

Cash4cashflows.com uses quickfinancialfreedom.com at the title and banner of his/her site...hmmm...that's strange.

Probably just the old owner and I am sure they are the ones kicking themselves for letting their domain expire.

That is weird - I am glad I always picked off the wall names nobody else ever owned (28 of them including all extensions)
