"30 Days" which is best, which is worst...
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I would like to get a little discussion going about the "30 Days To Success" training offered to all of us by Stone. For those of you who have gone thru some, or all of it, which day do you think helped you the most. Which day do you think is the worst advice from an internet marketing success point of view for you. I think honesty is o.k. here.

Because Stone changes it around many times you may want to go have another look on the training link of your members area.

I personally have done very well with Day 11 and think article marketing is time well spent. I have found Stone's advice on Day 2 to really hold true for me. Promoting the sales page is the best way to make more PIPS sales. In my case promoting my own home page is the best way to build my list and sell other things.

Right now Day 5 talks about getting visitors to your site with the PIPS co-op, but I have never been able to get any confirmation about much positive results so you do have to consider that carefully.

Jeff, I totally agree with you about Day 11, article marketing has really been my strongest strategy. The worst would be Day 5 (co-op). I really, really gave it time...and money...and, except the brandable video, I got nothing solid in return.

Also, I think that the potential of Day 12 (launch your own blog) is unused by recommending Blogger. Wordpress is far superior, IMHO

This should be a cool thread

Thanks Josip. I like WordPress for blogging over Blogger as well, but I do understand from an ease of starting standpoint why Blogger is good. I have used Blogger in the past, but they do not stack up to WordPress and all of the Plugins and Social Bookmarking capabilities it offers.

Hi Jeff

Interesting topic as much as I actually skimmed through the 30 days which I have not done for a while So thanks for that

From memory and having looked at the new improved 30 days here are my reflections

Let me say that when I started as a novice the 30 days where an excellent road map although as everyone agrees a bit overwhelming as there is a lot to take on board and learn especially for novices

The One thing I always remember from Stone is this advice from day ONE: "I don't recommend upgrading your account until you are referring a steady stream of people to Traffic Swarm. Once you start referring a steady stream of people to Traffic Swarm"

Originally this advice was broader and I think this hold true TODAY
The most beneficial days for me where 12, 13, 15 16

Day 23 Doctomology Is 340 pages long i believe or more I actually printed it and still have not read it completely but is a good basic resource that should be read althoough needs updating??

Day 27 advice from Peter Hale is good if again you can fit it in your budget Shame that the stats are not a true reflection as you cannot remove your own and your friends visits and therefore you get inflated figures but that can be rectified easily

As I am still learning and still am overwhelmed That 1st lesson from day one still resonate although at first it is hard to follow

Hope this is helpful
Cheers
Charles

I have set time aside for re-reading the 30 days.......because there is alot of good stuff in there that I started but didnt pursue - there is so much to do!

Certainly Day 11 has been the best for me - I started concentrating on article marketing four months after I started PIPS and it is the main contributing factor for building my business.

The only regrets I have is that I didn't start writing articles sooner. I just didn't think I could do it and after reading so many posts on this forum, mainly by you Jeff, I realised I had better get started!!

What didn't work for me was Adminder, as they are guaranteed visitors and not Targeted Visitors.

Cheers for now

Why not introduce the FORUM on day 1? It would be very beneficial for new members like me. We can ask the senior members on how to get started, what to do and what shouldn't do?

Volares,
I agree with you a link to this forum is a great idea, this way all the new members can start right away reading the great stuff on this forum.

I also found that day 11 is the best one so far, like Cyn I regret not starting sooner, I learned how to right articles using resources on this forums and with Cyn's help i mastered it.

I also think that day 1, 2 and 3 are important, new members needs to know their own pages, When I ask new affiliates to go to their PIPS sales page they sometimes don't even know what I am talking about, so geeting to know your website is important too.

The 30 days have changed substantially since I went through it.

Under the current format - days 11, 12, 17 were the best for me and day 24 I wished I had never seen.

There was a day under the previous format that really topped my list but it is no longer part of the 30 day training.

Cheers....Leon

Hi Jeff,

Good topic!

I am also a fan of day 11, article marketing. This is the marketing method that I use the most and it is great because it builds your backlinks, its free and it gives your website exposure. I also like day 15, SEO as this is essential to get free search engine traffic.

My least favourite is Day 10, Engage your circle of influence as I personally don't like trying to sell things to friends and family. I would rather keep my business life and personal life separate.

Cheers,
Suzanne

I'm going to agree with Suzanne, about day 10 (circle of influence) being my least favorite. I don't see how that one works out well either.

My greatest method is Social Media Marketing but since that's not in the Guide yet (as far as I know), I would either have to go with day 11, article marketing, or possibly even posting on forums. That's good for recognition also and usually requires time and work like anything else.

This is tough. I would have to say article marketing. I havent really concentrated on it too much, but I will be. I have a goal of writing a minimum of 10 articles a week, so we will see how it goes.

I think the best would be day 11 - article marketing - I just have to get into it more!
I think the worst is day 10 - circle of friends - as like many of you I do not want to approach them. I also agree that the forum should be mentioned from the beginning, if it was I could have saved a bit of money and got more 1 on 1 help and advice.

I have been in the co-op for a year now and I have not gotten even 1 signup from it. It does give you 30 articles a month for your blog and a customized video. I can't say what day of the "30 Days to Success" guide has been the most helpful because I have only gotten 1 paying PIPS signup in the past year...and that's after trying everything suggested (except ppc). I would reiterate what's already been said about NOT upgrading until you start getting lots of traffic and some signups.

Hi everyone,

Article Marketing, Blogging (when I am consistent) and Forums have worked the best for me. I not sure of the days because they have changed several times with updates.

I made the mistake of getting a lot of the upgrades before I learned how to get traffic to my site. I should have waited especially since I don't use the original site any more, it would have been money I could have used better some were else.

This forum as well as a couple of others has been a great way of learning for me. Even though I don't post a lot I do read and there is a huge amount of knowledge here if you are willing to take the time and look.

I am so excited with all the replies above. I am a newbie so i cannot trace which one is working or not.

The guide says we should use adminder for tracing which ad is performing and which one is not. And i follow the steps in testing it and it work but when i used the actual ads iam using it no longer works. As iam writting i don't know what to do as to prevent them from destroying my existing ad.

In addition, i need advice as regard trafic swarm, i am an upgraded member, for a month now and nothing realy is happening, so i need suggestion on how good it is or not.

Hi Everyone,

I agree that day 11 is the best. Article Marketing has given me most of my back links. The training on Blogs is good and I am quite happy with Blogger at the moment. Maybe as I learn more I can start a WordPress blog.

The worst would be Adminder and the Co-Op. They were a waste of money.

I also believe that the forum should be introduced at or near the start. It was in this forum that I learned the strategies that worked. It would have saved me time and money.

Hi, Jeff;

Great thread!

My favorites are Days 11 and 12, Article Marketing and Blogging, respectively. I wish I would have started blogging sooner!

My LEAST favorites are:
* Day 8, Ezine Solos: actually, I haven't gone there for a number of months, so it may have improved or changed, but several months ago a used a few of the solo ad sources recommended there and received but a handful of visitors to the page(s) advertised and no sales - out of 500,000 or more apparent recipients on the list. Should have been a few more clicks, if nothing else.

* Day 24, InstantBuzz: I spend time in several online forums and the complaints about InstantBuzz far, far exceed the few positive comments I have ever heard. Personally, when it worked, it worked well ... but the problem was getting it working! For some reason, many people seem to have problems either loading the IB software, or running it without causing problems with their computer.

* Days 14, 21, 28: I'm here to work - who needs a day off!! Okay, this one is tongue-in-cheek. Actually, I appreciated those "days off." They allowed me to catch up on the training days that I was falling behind on.

Despite my negatve feedback on a few of the training days, I still promote the 30 Days to Success training guide because it does offer some valuable insight and guidance.

It might be better to emphasize to newbies sooner in the program NOT to do so many upgrades until they understand the whole process better.

I would just like to add that I have gone through 30 day training guide many times and there are some things there which simply do not work.

For example, driving targetted visitors to your website through AdMinder is one of the least effective advertising ways. I tried the service out, and for 10,000 visitors which I received only 2 signed up.. not a good conversion rate.

Apart from that, as Suzanne pointed out, I do not like to involve family and friends with my business so I would say that the "Engage your social circle" aspect of the guide does not work out for me.

Cheers!

Hey Jeff,

I personally feel that Day 12, Launch your own blog has really helped me.. I have been blogging pretty much every day now.. and I quickly get the highest ranking for less competitive words.. I also have noticed that once I am there on page one, I do not need to write any more articles that keyword; the ranking still remains more or less the same.

If you search Generate Internet Income on Google, I am on page 1 for 2 of my posts.. one of which is from Digg.

Cheers,

Yasir

Thanks for posting again Yasir. I would agree with you blogging is a great source of traffic for me now. I would say anyone could get to 500 visitors a day in 30 days if they learn how to do it correctly and consistently post good information. Even a blog article of 200 words is enough.
