Hi everyone. I am on day one of Plug in Profit but gagging at the bit to get stuck in. I have a budget to spend on advertising and the Co-Op looks like a good way to "set and forget" while i concentrate on building my website and readership. I would like to hear others experiences on the Co-Op. Is it worth it or am I better off using my money for other advertising methods? Many thanks in advance! Hayden |

HI Hayden. First of all you might want to use our new community forum at http://forum.pluginprofitsite.com/ for questions like this - or just to network with the newer PIPS members. Second, while it is a fair question it is rather hard to quantify since random strategies like the co-op can have such a vast array of difference - don't know whether you want to call it 'luck' or what since everybody has an equal chance, yet some people do really well and others don't get anything. It really has to be your own decision - It's a gamble - I always say 'do not gamble with more than you can afford to lose'. As with any marketing or advertising strategy, you may not see a return on your investment - maybe if you build enough momentum over time your luck would change - who knows. I know that Stone is very proud of the co-op and stands behind all of the resources that he employs to promote the co-op member's links. However he has no way to guarantee what people's response will be when they see the ads. You have to figure a few things in any analysis - #1 a very small percentage of the world population is interested in starting a home business. Another percent thinks they might but fail to take action. So the idea with building and sustaining momentum with your advertising is about weeding through to find 'the needles in the haystack' - they are there and we are all proof of that since we are interested and have taken action to some degree. #2 Think about it logically - how many ads do you see in a day? Consider the Internet, postal mail, eMail, magazines, newspapers, TV. How many do you respond to? None? That is normal. So again, few will take action with any type of advertising. #3 Because Tom, Dick and Harry did have stellar results it doesn't mean you will. If Mabel, Hazel and Gretal have lousy results, it doesn't mean you will. No matter what you decide to do as far as what techniques you decide to use, do not sit back and wait to see the results - take every opportunity to promote your business in every way that you can in the 'meantime' - Don't ever depend on just one thing, no matter what it is - at least until you can document your own success. Whatever you decide, of course I wish you the best. Pat ![]() |
