eBay Advertising For PIPS
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi,

I thought I would try something this week that I have not really done before and that is promote Plug-In Profit Site on eBay.

You can see my attempt here.

Complete Money Making Website Set Up Free! - eBay (item 180358734947 end time Jun-17-09 13:05:52 PDT)

This promotion is for the co-op rotation. I have only had 7 views of the page but almost all have clicked through the URL. The ad was $10 for 30 days.

Has anyone tried promoting their business on eBay?

I used to be a PowerSeller back in 2005 under a different eBay ID but I was selling watches and not business opps. I set this ID up and have never really used it so I thought I would try this. In the past I actually made about $500 per week selling "How To Make Money" ebooks so I thought something like this might work.

I'm new 3 month that is. And this is the first time any one has even suggested such an idea. Since this is my first venture it was not even a thought. Keep us posted on what it does.

Thanks

Bright Blessings

I have not used Ebay like that before, but I was just considering it. Keep us posted. Maybe make it a little more realistic? Rather then .01!!!??

That's interesting, Dustin. I've never used their classified ads or promoted a business opportunity on there before. However, I used to advertise that I build custom computers through an auction style listing and had the price at $.01 like yours, but I had people contact me through eBay for a quote. So, there was actually nothing to bid on, just like your example.

I got a good deal of inquiries that way. I don't see why it wouldn't work for a business opportunity as well.

Keep us posted with the results.

I agree about the .01 price but I was not sure what to do with that. Any ideas would be helpful.

I am also thinking about making a page that promotes Dotcomology as an ebook.

Another idea I had is using eBay to actually create high quality leads that pay you to market to them.

Another idea I have to promote PIPS on eBay is a little more involved but might produce higher quality leads and put money in your pocket in the form of a second profitable income stream.

Physical books and e-books sell very well on eBay but have a small profit margin. I buy a lot of business books and then after I read them I sell them on eBay. They almost always sell.

You could set up an EBay store selling physical books and e-books on business including books from authors like Robert Allen and the guy who wrote Rich Dad Poor Dad (those authors get searched for a lot) and when you make a sell and deliver your product either by mail or email you then pitch your business opportunity - Plug-In Profit Site.

Really this could be another form of the funded proposal. You have prospects paying you to become leads. Many are skeptical about business opportunities but will buy books on business all day long. After you have sold them you are a credible person they might listen to and consider. Or you could offer a 300 page manual on the "Science Of Making Money Online" (Dotcomology) as a free bonus with every book sold.

I have seen marketers sell e-books on eBay for years selling some of the same stuff you can get through private label rights and resell rights clubs for the purpose of generating home business leads they can market to. That might work but supplementing with physical books could work even better. Maybe too time consuming for the payoff but just an idea.

I'd leave the price at $.01. They're not really buying anything, but rather clicking through to the link. At least that's the desired result.

That is a great idea, selling books, then have your opportunity inside, or go along with it. Try it out. Might be a winner!

Hi Dustin, have you had any response from your PIPS advertised on Ebay yet?

i say keep advertising on ebay its only 9.95 per month and much more cheaper than paying for ppc or other source of ads, ebay is definately a hard hitter and will drive some traffic to your site.
