They don't understand about my website
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

Hi,

I share with my friends off line about my website. Most of them who has view my website said they don't understand what it is about in my website. My husband and my sister also don't understand. What is the best explaination I can give to them to make them understand? Please give your opinion. Thanks.

Hi Kang,

Tell them exactly what you understand about the website - that's really the best thing you can say about it.

What PIPS does for you is that with a single signup, you have a potential of 6 streams of income generated for you!

It's all about generating more streams of income.

I agree explain what you think you can benefit from a site like yours then ask them questions. Mainly tell them about your site in a question form to encourage them to answer their own question and get their gears turning.

Have a Great Week

They don't understand why you are selling them of you sent them directly the link.
Maybe they are not a mom. Tell them that even they are not a mom, maybe they are dad , that they can earn or learn on your site or recommended product.

You can also explain 'affiliate marketing' -

This is when you are given permission by the company to promote their products and services and use their marketing and promotional material and that the company will pay you a commission if you make a sale.

Each of the companies is a 'business opportunity' that someone can do 'working from home' either as a part time or full time business.

This is a good way for newbies in internet marketing to 'get their feet wet' without having to come up with a product or service of their own and pay all the expenses for payment gateways (to accept payments), customer service, and etc.

Also - direct them to read the pips salespage on your site!
This gives a very good explanation of whats going on!
And why dont you just sign them up to your newsletter? that also has great indepth details about the program and how it works.....in the first several issues that go out on your behalf!

Vorales,
You received some very good tips here already, and I will add just one, show them what you do, how you work from home, how you promote your business, and if you have any, show them your commission checks or paypal account, when they see the $$$ they will understand.

I like Tanny's response.

Don't explain to them anything, just show them the money!!

No seriously though, I know what you mean. I tried explaining it to my ex-girlfriend and family and they thought I was getting into some pyramid scam.

Tell them you are learning and working on getting traffic to your site so people will sign up for the affiliate companies, and when they do, you earn a commission.

And...

Ask them if they know how to start their own website and then get that website ranked on page 1 of Google.

Of course they won't know how. So then tell them that thats okay, not a lot of people do. That knowledge in itself is worth money because many businesses can use that information to their advantage and you can sell it to them.

The more you explain the whole process the less they will understand. Just tell them how it is in a simple matter.

There is always an issue WHEN THERE IS NO MONEY YET you have nothing to show anyone. So being able to give basic information about how it works is all you can do.

I can remember having a problem when people asked me 'does this work' - when I didn't get it to work yet and didn't want to lie. Also didn't want to say I don't know if it works.

So I would say 'a number of people' have reported success and the program has been going for many years (this would not be the case if it was a scam).

I will also NEVER answer how much money I make. It is a rude question whether you think it is valid or not. Further it is irrelevant because even if I make a million dollars, you may never make a cent. And vice versa. So what difference does it make how much someone else makes.

Touche Pat, touche.

It's tough to show the money when you don't have it yet. "Other people" having success is a tough bill to sell to my family. I have to let my success do the talking which motivates me even more.

Hi Vorales,
I'm the same situation with you. When I shared my web to my wife, brothers & sisters, they all look at me and said "Humm..Does it work? Do you get any money yet? or how much money do you have to spend?....All kind of questions in their mind. They also said let us know when you make some money. And they ask me "do you make any money yet? everytime I see them.

Pat, you are right,
I remember people asking me how much do I make, and it was only my first 3 weeks in the biz, when I said nothing YET, the made a face, like, you are spending your money, your naive, etc, but i was so enthusiastic about it, I never stopped talking about it.
After receiving my first check, everyday mom calls and asks me how much I made today.

So Vorales, it may take time for people around you to understand, but you are learning too, so every time you learn something new, explain it to them, is will also help you understand it better.

Now on if someone asks you what you do you just tell them this

"I help individuals achieve unrecognizable goals with the interaction of millions across the world through a 17 inch monitor and help them build a foundation to their successful future."

I can almost guarantee everyone would want to know more about it.

Hi Matt,

I think that wouldn't work for Kang. That's too much of a handful for her to say. Not to mention stating something like that would not only give her problems, it might just turn off any potential signups.

All she needs to do is to be real - not to be a salesperson.

Just my $0.02
