New GetResponse Details.....

Here is the email in case you didnt get it.....

Before the migration - schedule service disruption:

The data migration will begin on July 4, 2009 at 9 PM EDT and end on July 5,
2009 at 5 PM EDT, therefore service will not be available during that time period.

Note: During this scheduled data migration, all GetResponse sites will be down and you will not be able to access your account.

Your account during service disruption:

Please rest assured that no account data will be lost during migration! Your web
forms will be working, however all processes related to sign ups will be queued
and processed within 24-48 hours. That means that anyone who subscribes or
signs up to your campaign will not be added to your contact list for 24-48 hours.
If applicable, new subscribers will also be credited to your account within the
same time period. Please note that new subscribers will not receive confirmation
or thank-you messages immediately, but they will go out automatically after
the above time period.

No payments will be processed on July 5. Therefore, if your recurring charge is
set for this date, it will take place on July 6.

After the migration:

After the migration is completed, you will be introduced to the new GetResponse
interface and the old version will no longer be available.

All the settings from your account will be carefully moved to the new system and will
remain intact. You can be confident that no data will be lost.

As with most major migrations, the system may not be working perfectly from 2 to 3
days after the data has been moved. Please let us know about any problems you
experience by contacting our capable Customer Service Team. It will help us to quickly
address any issues.

We have performed migrations many times and, as always, we will do our best to conduct a smooth migration for the new launch. Again, you can rest assured that this process will not affect your account or stored data in any way.

If you have any questions regarding the migration process, feel free to contact us. We will be happy to answer any questions you might have!

Thank you for choosing our email marketing service! We hope you will be just as excited about the new GetResponse as we are!

Best regards,

GetResponse Team

Re: New GetResponse Details.....

what's important is below,

Changes to your FREE account
With the new GetResponse, we are introducing some changes to FREE accounts. You will now have unlimited campaigns, and will be able to send unlimited follow up messages and broadcasts! However, there will be a new maximum of 10 subscribers for all FREE account lists. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to review and reduce your list to a select 10 by July 4th, or it will be automatically reduced during the migration process. After the launch, you will be able to access and export your entire subscriber list if you wish to.

Re: New GetResponse Details.....

The free member changes are pretty nice. I wish they had that when I first started. This means there is no reason to upgrade until you get 10 subscribers.

I've read here: http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...e-finally.html that the prices will be major for who choose the new features ( I hope :( )
One of the reasons of GR is the low prices plan....

Thanks for the link. I was hoping they would keep the prices the same. I can do without the features for now unless they add one in the future that I can't live without.

Well if they're doing their part then eventually they'll meet the 10 subscriber quota and will be forced to upgrade or forfeit all new subscribers. Either way, they'll have to upgrade at some point.

I don't think anyone does except Simon, and he's keeping it pretty hush hush.

Hey, friends:

The service at GetResponse has been very good. I have no complaints.

However, if there is going to be a price increase ... hmmm ... not so sure I like that prospect.

GT :(

Alan Mater 2nd July 2009 11:59 AM

Re: New GetResponse Details.....

Hi GT,

I agree. I have no problems with GetResponse. They are very reliable. But, a price increase would really turn me off.

BIll S 2nd July 2009 01:31 PM

Re: New GetResponse Details.....

Now this is just an assumption, but I have a
feeling their will be 3 options for each member

* FREE - all access and 10 subscribers
* upgrade - What us upgraded members have now
* Gold upgrade- All the bells and whistles

Note: I just took a guess at what they'll be called

That is my thought, and yes Alan Simon seems to
be keeping it hush-hush!

That's my 2 cents,

Alan Mater 2nd July 2009 01:34 PM

Hi Bill,

That's my guess as well, in which case I'll just stick with what I have.

I'm happy with what we have now, maybe if it's
just a 5 dollar bill I'll consider!

New Get Response

Hello folks!

Are you guys experiencing any problems with the new GetResponse? It seems that it's not working properly on my website, when someone enters his name / e-mail to sign up, a white page comes up and the subscriber is not added to the list.

I don't know if they made some changes to the script, if someone knows about anything please post here..

Thanks!!

Leon Bowes 6th July 2009 04:41 PM

Re: New Get Response

Yes, you are right. When I tried to sign up I just got a blank page. Hope they get it fixed quickly. I suggest everyone tried signing up for their own newsletter and see what happens.

Thanks for the heads up

Leon

Mine's not working either. I have contacted Getresponse support, letting them know what's going on.

Waiting for a response, I will post it here when I get one.

There are some problems with the new version that they installed over the weekend.

I am sure it will be ironed out shortly.

Be sure to read what has already been posted about this as it may answer your questions. (although July 6 was supposed to be the roll out)...

Okay....I found that all the "Predefined Fields" in the PIPS campaign are gone, I need to add it back manually... that's too bad...

Not very cool:(

So, what's the easiest way to do this? Pat, I think us Pipsters need some input here!

BTW, I think the GR support system is a bit overloaded, I haven't even received a confirmation for the email I submitted yesterday...

When you send a broadcast, now under: Message > Create Newsletter, at the last step you can choose to tweet this message too.

Hi Tal,

Do we know how the pricing was affected?

Patrician 7th July 2009 10:03 AM

Re: New GetResponse Details.....

I am waiting on a few issues. I have just contacted them for a status. Stone is on them also.

This is a new one with the predefined values. What a total wreck.

The predefined values are as follows:

domain_id (this is your domain name with the extension - domain.com)

pips_id (this is your PIPS ID)

DO NOT do this in the messages - it needs to be done one time in the appropriate menus.

That's all I know - I am not going to get hysterical although I am starting to feel that way since Sunday. I have lots of people waiting since Saturday for new sites. Now I can see the helpdesk is going to turn into chaos with all these other issues.

All I can do is apologize and hope along with everyone else that they resolve these wrinkles STAT - I am sure they are working on and it will all be working right as soon as possible... I think once they fix the main issues, all the other things will fall into place. Let's hope so...

Alan Mater 7th July 2009 10:14 AM

That's good news... the former that is. I know people were having problems yesterday for sure. I applaud Simon for everything he is doing to resolve everyone's problems. It says a lot about him and the company.

Yeah, as you said, hopefully fixing some main issues will fix all the little ones also.

No one can sign up for a PIPS site newsletter. It goes to a blank page. I went to that thread and his response was: http://www.warriorforum.com/internet...tml#post954366

I have tried to signup for at least 20 PIPS site newsletters and get a blank page.

Hi Pat

I went ahead and removed the code Simon suggested just to be able to get signups. Don't like the page it goes to but at least someone can signup through it temporarily.

Speaking of account cost...

I sent an email in to GetResponse support in
reference to my account.

I asked, since I payed for another year in April
would my account be good until April 2010 and
would I get to get up-to 5,000 subscribers at
my same subscription fee? I think the prices are
a little steep if you ask me. I see GetResponse
loosing a lot of loyal customers!

I guess I'll have to wait and see!

Good morning everyone!

It appears that my opt-in on my site is working Ok now... the problem now is that I can no longer follow my purchased leads campaign, I couldn't find any option on dashboard. I tried to log in to GetSubscribers but it doesn't seem to recognize my login/password. I sent them an e-mail the day before yesterday but didn't get a response yet. I'll wait some more to see if they get in touch...
