If I was going to use the domain I would re-create some of the pages that would make sense for whatever your site is about: About Us, Contact Us, etc. And then I would get a 301 plugin that...

I would build my own site with WordPress because I would have far more control over everything and my site can't, in a very small chance, get your Google site taken down on a whim.

Any sorts of pages from authority domains have an advantage in the ranking. Here are some that I saw that ranked before. I don't know how well they might fare in ultra competitive keywords, though.

seoace is right. Unless you're making a lot of campaigns, making one campaign for a site with your IP is just like manually making the links, without all the work involved.
