In the robots.txt file if you have this:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

That will stop the MAJOR search engines crawling your site, (not the smaller ones, because they dont all use the robots .txt...

Website, only because im fed up with everyone suggesting wordpress as its the easier option.

WordPress is just a website with a control pannel, which has everything already set up for you, its not...
