Looking through these comments, I see a lot of people would choose Hostgator for hosting and GoDaddy for domain registration. Hostgator - good. Godaddy - bad for hosting AND bad for domain...

We teach our students how to do exactly this and came up with a way to easily deploy sites that are "Amazon Ready". Once the manual was complete, I realized it could be used as a standalone...

Looks like WillR is right on - S3 is definitely the way to go and breaking the video up is a terrific idea. You may want to look at Easy Video Player - it integrates with S3 and works like a charm....
