Mike, be careful.

I too was considering using MailChimp because it's free. However, when I looked into it, I discover that it's a bit fishy using affiliate links with them.

write it yourself - really depends how serious you are about the project and if you think your contract will hold up.. if it's gonna be a huge thing might be worth getting it...

I work a portion of the profit. Profit above the benchmark that is.
The income is less predictable but it's consistant.. that's the key.
Work for enough clients and you'll make a nice steady...
