As well as making the requisite changes to php.ini you could also enable the PECL uploadprogress library. This allows you to monitor the file upload progress from your PHP script.

Of course the image should depict what is actually being sold. Anything other than this would be against the trade descriptions act (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trade_Descriptions_Act).

Getting a PHP script to send an SMS message is not actually much harder than sending an email because you're basically doing the same thing, except rather than use an email server you use an SMS...

To some extent it is.
