Been there done that (when I was new). Was a waste of time because traffic exchanges are filled with new marketer hoping to get everyone else to 'their own' site. TA'a are like some facebook...

I think we all get sucked into the mindset ( at one time or another in our careers) that stuff like this can really work and that we actually don't have to "work" to make a nice amount of money.

I use to own a traffic exchange. I never saw it work for anyone but me and the people I was buying ads from to promote it. It is a flawed system. Everyone is signing up to sell and no one is signing...

Most are full of bots or Foreign Click farms.

The might get you page counts up but are of little value otherwise.

You would be better focus to look to social media like Facebook, Twitter, and...

I think it depends on what offers you're promoting on TE's, and which exchanges you're using. Some TE's are better than others.

When I first started using TE's I didn't really get anywhere, but...

If you have a lot of time, traffic exchanges can work. I used to use them but couldn't justify it after awhile.

IMO the typical "traffic exchanges" suck.
But if you speak with people in the same or similar niche and agree on a banner exchange or link exchange, it can work much better (IMO at least)
