Drive people away? No. The home page of Google has a very simple design. Your theme is responsive. But instead of 5 posts on the home page, why not make it 10 so that the empty space below the posts...

Personally I don't see why having more likes than repins can affect your account. If I like a pin this doesn't mean that I also need to repin it.

It might be suspicious if your pin has more likes than repins as 'likes' can be bought. You don't want to get your account flagged/banned.

Yep this is what happened. Your comments were on a 'recent comments' widget, so when the site got crawled, the link was on every page. It will work itself out eventually when the site gets crawled...
