Perhaps because the homepage doesn't give any hit whatsoever that those items are actually for sale - at first I thought those are pictures of guys, perhaps you're an artist showcasing pictures....

Perhaps you could have some descriptions to the pictures. It might be a good idea to have the offers at the top above the fold and have it stand out from the rest of the products.

Might not hurt...
