Re: how should I sell my business?

Hire someone who can handle it but doesn't understand the value of it. Don't let them know how much money it makes. In fact make it seem like a loss leader which is why you can't put your time into...

Re: how should I sell my business?

The particular business sounds like it's valuable because of you personally.
Therefore, I'd keep it and hire someone to run it with you approving the communications and style. The cashflow could be...

Re: how should I sell my business?

On the flip side of the coin:

Wealth isn't crested RUNNING businesses, it's created by SELLING them.

A solid business with systems in place can retrieve 4-5 times earnings.

If (and it's a...

Re: how should I sell my business?

That's a pretty good asset which I don't recommend selling if it can give you this kind of cash.

What you could do is build a real business on that database -like an ecommerce store? (i don't know...

Re: how should I sell my business?

Second the hire someone to manage it. Don't sell a business that is profitable. Hire someone to run it. They make money and you make money. It is a win win.

Re: how should I sell my business?

I think you should hire someone to manage it for you and keep it, since it's a proven moneymaker. Not everything you or I do will be a moneymaker.

Even if you pay $1000 or $2000 a month to your...

Re: Other ways to monetize my direct mail database?

I hate to tell you this, so don't shoot the messenger.
In the states we have what's called SRDS, Standard Rates and Data Service.
This is an aggregator of lists, they tell you who has what
types...

Re: where to rent out my direct mail list?

In fact I just rented a targeted list of buyers for a direct mail campaign I did last Friday. I did a test of 5000 names and as of today I got a 2% response rate (bought my item) which is great. My...

Re: where to rent out my direct mail list?

There is nothing wrong with renting out your mailing lists. That's what all the big boys do. Look up SRDS at your local library and you'll see what I mean. I rent lists all the time. For example:...
