Another option is the s2member plugin for WordPress as it has the ability to integrate with Aweber.

You just add in in your Aweber form info, and set the option to have a confirmation email sent...

You could always use tinyletter. It's a free service, you can set up your recurring options and they even collect the payments for you. If you prefer to get it in paypal there is an option for that...

I was going to say that DLG could be the answer until I saw your last line. It has a membership option for recurring payments so it should work fine for you.
