I agree with the programmer. Not to mention banging on about alexa rank on your blog or site would make you look needy and desperate. Just make good content, good on page seo and high quality...

Alexa and google ranking are two different things. increase in Alexa rank doesn't effect on google rank. i suggest you to focus on Backlink building rather than alexa rank.
