You can try to rent ad spaces, find affiliate programs, or maybe add a forum to that for spanish movie fans. There are even more ways to monetize a forum. Good luck!

Interesting. Kind of the reverse of what some people do: Buy stuff on Fiverr and enter logo contests. The difference is wide enough to cover many contest losses.

if you want to start a web design business start it. You gain credibility as you go. Give away a few sites in exchange for testimonials and referrals. (hint you can even charge for hosting)...

When I started out, I built sites. Lots of them, until I had a portfolio. I designed logos and stationery and brochures, all for my portfolio. It's not likely that you will get many quality customers...

The way to hire a designer (a real designer) is to go to a site like Elance and put your project in and get bids. Review the bidders portfolios and customer feedback and maybe talk to them a bit...

They are templates. The one on the right is just a circle with a letter cut out, and the one on the left is probably a $1 stock image with your company name over it. Not worth $60.

I'm going to agree that the logos are just "OK". For proper logo design, you should be paying a lot more than $60, so if you give the second designer a try for $80, you're still coming out ahead. ...
