I would test affiliate offers since you'll probably get a better pay out right away. Once you figure what is converting I would just create your own product and keep 100% of it. Trial offers work...

Depends on your user base and content.

Example: If you are a reviews site then affiliate. If it's just viral content like memes, then display ads.
