I would strongly advise against this. This board is full of horror stories of Google penalizing sites for being associated with schemes like this. Whatever you are doing now is working, don't screw...

Just as a point of interest, I tested the subject line "Think you'll like this" and got my lowest open rate ever. "Who else wants..."' or "Could you use a free..." seem to get the best results so far.

What Brad wrote. I track this stuff pretty closely in my business, and I see a pretty clear progression based on the traffic source.

I might get as much as 2% from a source like organic search...
