The other day I called customer service for a computer software company. I was not able to figure out how to use their software. The customer service gave me their url to go to so they could see my computer screen with my permission. They were able to guide me to use their software by guiding me with their computer curser on my computer screen remotely. They were not able to open my files, I don't think. Could someone tell me the name of this software that legally allow you to see another person computer screen with their permission?

Couple that I use logmein or team viewer . There are more. Just google Remote Desktop.

Remote Desktop is the standard for Windows, it may be pre-installed depending on windows version you/client have.

There is also a software called VNC.

  Note its good security practise to disable these kind of services once you're done with them. Just to be on the safe side.

Team viewer is the best of all and is used by maximum number of people.
