Wordpress Multiple Site Search Engine?

I have multiple standalone wordpress sites...

I'd like for each of them to have a search feature that returns results from the entire network...

Is there a plugin / best way to do this?

All suggestions welcome.

  • If you are using Wordpress Multisite, which it doesn't sound like you are, then you can use Wordpress Global Search.

    Otherwise, you will need to write a custom search function to query all databased involved (assuming they are on the same database backend). This is dirty. You should consider migrating to Wordpress Multisite.
