Online Programming Bootcamp for Serious Developers - Tealeaf Academy - If you have the money to invest, I'd reccomend you consider going through this training.

For Backbone:
You need to have a good grasp of JavaScript before you try to learn a JS Framework like Backbone. So take a look at the resources below to learn JS:

http://codeacademy.com/ - It's free (not my favorite site, but good none the less)
https://frontendmasters.com/ - If you have the JS basics under your belt this is my favorite place to discover amazing Front-End Development tutorials.
https://www.codeschool.com/courses/a...of-backbone-js - This will give you a overview of how Backbone works. Be sure to peek at the Backbone docs, they will help you understand alot.

I personally like Ember, but have built a few backbone apps. Hit me up if you have specific questions.
