S2Member and JVZoo Integration

Hi All

I've installed and setup Wordpress S2Member with JVZoo, but I'm stuck now.

There is a Free Level - and Paid level1

When there is a purchase JVZoo takes the money and sends their jvzoo email.
However it never registers on the site and doesn't send them the email from s2member.

If i dont use jvzoo, then s2member directly with paypal works and the emails are sent.

Can anyone help with this.

Thanks

James

Ever get an answer for this?

I'm having the SAME issue...except with OptimizeMember - which is the same as S2 Member.

NOPE, i was using Optimize Press and JVZoo, i sell a few products. JVZoo said it was Optimize and Optimmize said it was JV Zoo, there is a guy on Fiverr who said he would sort it for around $40 or so, but i just went with a different plugin to run it.

The problem is now with the way that Wordpress is encrypting passwords, I beleive and the plugins are not equipped to handle them.

In fact, I've talked to Ed (above) about this.

I think I may have a workaround...I will report back.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Is there any work around yet?

Or another membership site plugin to replace S2Member?

I don't know of a Free Plugin that does what S2 Member does.

....and they have an established forum and user base that works through problems.

I'm sure there are some, I'm just not sure I would entrust them to my customers.

      Sincerely,
      Charles

    Hi Dexter and All:

I worked on it in earnest this week and had to stop because of launch.

I'm pretty close to a solution, I just need to see if it will work all of the time.

I can get a user to appear, that seems to be no problem....BUT the person doesn't get an email.

I have a workaround that I used before back in 2013, I will post a video of it if I can't get this thing to work.

    Sincerely,
    Charles

      Charles,
Did you ever get this to work?
I watched your 2014 video "Basic Connection Between JVZoo and S2 Member"

Following that tutorial and James Dyson's Optimize Member tutorial gets me the same results. The new registration email is not sent by S2Member/WordPress.

      Thanks

Hi all, I might be a bit last coming to this thread, but I might shed some light of this subject for anyone else who is having this issue.

S2member and Jvzoo work fine just for buy now buttons. I'm currently using Wordpress 4.7 "Vaughan". But if you are to use it for recurring payments, somewhere down the track with the s2member plugin from updating it, it does not integrate no longer. Meaning that when you cancel a payment the user does not demote down a level, you would have to do this manually. And there is now way you would know this as there will be no email sent to you, not even from PayPal because its an agreement from Jvzoo to PayPal, not you. And Jvzoo doesn't send you one, only when you cancel within your account manually at Jvzoo. I think it is because with s2member, before there updates, everyone didn't have to upgrade the plugin, using s2member with Jvzoo only required the free plugin. So I don't think s2member liked this too much, so changes were made.

Yes, emails still get sent out from s2member once a purchase is made via Jvzoo. It is only a standard registration button with a link where users will signup for any account. And depending on the level # you set within creating your product at Jvzoo this will be the level the user will stay on when signing up after payments.

I hope this has helped anyone.
