Create Softwares without Programming

hey there, what softwares are available to create executable softwares without any programming knowledge?

I'm talking about affordable user friendly software that you can use to create softwares to sell. The developer version of uBot cost too much, and I think it might be more of an automation tool.

  • I supposed you could pay someone else to do it?

I just don't understand why someone would want to create software with no knowledge on it???

    • Check out Visual Studio 2015. Free and unbelievable. Tons of videos online. You do need to learn some programming but start with a language that feels intuitive to you. For me it was C#.
    • I have some programming knowledge, mostly Java, but not knowledgeable enough to create desktop software.

I don't have time to learn visual basic studio.
  • It depends what software you want to create. Software could mean many different things. What type of software are you trying to create?

    • I would like to create a software that allows users to drag and drop pictures to create their own mascots. There are plenty of software like that already but I would like to make my own version with my own characters.

It should have a visual interface with a built in library (for visual parts like head, arm, legs, etc.) so that the user can drag and drop onto a canvas to produce a final jpg / gif output. The software should allow the user to resize, color, etc. the images as well.

I guess creating a software similar to this:

      https://instapage.com/

I would like the software to install and run on windows and mac platform.

Nothing complicated but wanted to know what software can do this without me knowing any programming language. Thanks!

I wonder if any Adobe product can do this..

I don't think uBot can do this right? uBot seems like an automation task software for scraping information off the web.
  • What kind of software do you even want to make? I would go with visual studio 2015 myself and learn a bit if i were you.
  • If you knew how easy and inexpensive that is to do, you'd just DO IT! lol

Post your idea on Freelancer and see what happens. You'll be excited within seconds.
  • Developing software can be very cost effective, as there are really good programmers that work for reasonable rates. My business isn't mainstream, so 95% of the software that I use, I've had to have developed.

The most important thing is that you be as descriptive as you possibly can, when coming up with the specs. The very first program I ever had created, while it was basically what I wanted, it was far from being exactly as I was expecting. This was because the specs I created were not 100% clear and allowed for the programmer to make assumptions that weren't exactly as I would of specified, had I known better.

  • As someone who makes thousands online from creating MS Office software I advise you
to keep it simple. If you don't have the time to learn a desktop language then you are
going to have to shell out a lot of money to get someone to create a program for you. Chances are you will need revisions done and you will end up parting with more money. As you have java experience you should be able to move to C# easily. What you are describing seems more web based than desktop anyway.
  • A software that creates software without coding yourself?

That tool would be amazing, but very expensive due to the tons of possibilities. Even then, you would need to learn how to use the difficult program.

    • There's already uBot Studio that well supposedly create desktop applications without programming knowledge. I haven't use that software yet so I can't vouch for it. From my observation, it looks more like a software that mainly creates programs for automated tasks (such as retrieve info from classified ads and build a list with the retrieved data).
  • It's easy.

    1) Take your brilliant idea.

    2) sprinkle with magic fairy dust

    3) pick up the dollars raining from the sky

While you're at it, you should make an electric car without engineering, grow some food without dirt, and hey, let's make electricity from a bucket of gravel too.

    • Funny, isn't that how Steve Jobs did it ?!

      Bill Gates on Steve Jobs:

"His sense of design, that everything had to fit a certain aesthetic, the fact that he, with as little engineering background as he had – it shows that design can lead you in a certain direction so that phenomenal products came out of it."

      *smirk*
  • So you think Apple was created without any programming? Hooo wheee. Thank you. got my belly laugh for the day.

Think again. Apple was (and still is) all about software. Jobs (may have) focused on just one aspect of it (the user interface), but every single thing that he dreamed up was implemented by programmers.

    Not the magic software fairy.

Of course that's not what they teach in the MBA program. In the MBA program, you "just contract that part out". The (unfortunate?) reality is that contracting out what you don't understand makes you weak handed at the bargaining table. You go cheap and you get crap. You pay more, and you still get crap. You pay a whole lot more... and how do you know it's not still a fat pig just on taller stilts with prettier lipstick?

    • You're missing my point here.

Steve Jobs was not a programmer.
    • Steve Jobs didn't invent the GUI interface that made Apple famous. He somehow took that idea from Xerox.

Call it whatever you want to call it, but he sure seems like a Magician too me
  • Move it along folks, nothing to see here.

    • Of course there's nothing left to see here after you have wrecked this fine going thread with your needless sarcasm.
  • I would offer that I didn't wreck it, I merely accelerated it mercifully to its inevitable conclusion. Anyhow. c'est fini.
  • Ubot Studio and Zenno poster are what you are looking for.

  • try pyqt builder, but it is only for the ui.
