Where can I learn how to build Android/iOS app?

Hi, I'm looking for a resource to build android app, free or paid. Also, the best platform to build one. Can anyone suggest? Thanks.

    For IOS apps you need thr AppleSDK wich cost a few bucks.
    For Android you need the AndroidSDK wich is free. For Android you need also java coding skills. You can learn this stuff from YouTube tutorial videos that are free.

    in my opinion, Android is a better pick owing to a rich collection of features and APIs it supports making it highly productive and versatile. Also, the android market (Google Play) is glutted with apps to provide a better user experience which is not the case with Apple. Furthermore, since android is an open source project, the development is fast paced with frequent updates coming over the time.
