I have been looking at SEO and Social Media tools by sites like Raven, Moz, WebCeo, Sumo etc...
Their software does things like:
- Keyword research
- Rank checking
- Link profile analysis
- Monitoring of social signals
- Automation of social media tasks
- etc...
My question is, how do these tools achieve this?
Do they scrape Google, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, etc? And if yes, how do they get away with it? By using proxies?
Or do they use APIs provided by these sites (free or paid)?
