Are you planning to take down other social networking sites? That's kind of a long shot. You can start your social networking site, but don't expect too much as taking well-established sites down. It's healthy competition, you can't really miraculously shoot your way at the top without knowing the basics in the first place. If you're serious about building a social network, back it up with extensive research and don't go fishing for advice in forums.

For those people that doesn't have knowledge about development, find a social network hosting service such as Ning. For those who have knowledge, buy a domain name, subscribe to a web hosting plan and install a social networking script.
