Hi all..

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if its possible to 'cloak' the animoto video embed codes?? I am using animoto for business and need to be able to embed a video code on a clients site..

However, I have noticed that recently animoto have altered the embed
code which now includes a reference to 'animoto' which is not too good for business, particularly if one is trying to keep the video production methods to themselves (hence the reason to purchase a business account)!

I'm hoping someone can tell me a way to be able to embed the video but maybe change the javascript code to hide the animoto reference, or be able to use a tinyurl or bit.ly etc...

I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback and shared wisdom

Simon.

  • Shouldn't they get recognition for what they do?
Especially if you are making money from it.
You get caught and that will be worse for business than a little link will be.

Just add the cost for the subscription to your client's bill.

    • I'm unfamiliar with animoto (and their business model), but paying for a product is generally considered recognition enough. If this is a free application he's using, then that's another issue.
  • I think Animoto's paid version removes their logo/ad at the end of the video, right? I could be wrong. I haven't checked out animoto in some time now.
  • Yeah. That's what I was getting at. Usually, if you use somebody's shareware version, you expect to put up with some kind of limitation; it won't save; it only works for 30 days; it saves with a watermark, etc. If you pay for it, you get full usage without limitations or vendor branding, etc.
