How long does it take you to build a new site with wordpress?

I have built many sites, both from scratch and using wordpress, and it seems that both take me quite a while. Development from scratch is obviously time consuming, but I've found that using wordpress often takes as much or more time. This may be because I'm a developer myself and get caught up trying to mold wordpress to do *exactly* what I want.

So for the wordpress pros out there, how long does it take you to build a new site? Are there any tips to avoid getting bogged down? E.g. don't try to write custom route handling plugins

3 QUICK STEPS IN THIS GUIDE

STEP 1: CHOOSE THE RIGHT PLATFORM
For beginners, I strongly suggest sticking to WordPress.

STEP 2: GET A DOMAIN & WEB HOSTING
In order to get set up your WordPress (or any other type of websites), you're going to need two things:
    ⦁ A domain name (a web address like yoursitename.com)
⦁ Hosting (a service that connects your site to the internet)
I've mostly used Bluehost.com as a web hosting and domain registrar.
    Step 1: Go Bluehost.com
Step 2: Choose Website Hosting Plan
Step 3: Pick a Domain Name
Step 4: Fill In Your Details
Step 5: Check Your "Package Information" and Finish Registration
    Step 6: Create Your Password

STEP 3: SET UP & CUSTOMIZE YOUR SITE
There are two possible ways to install WordPress, one MUCH easier than the other.
    1. TO CREATE A WEBSITE WITH WORDPRESS (OR JOOMLA & DRUPAL), USE ONE CLICK INSTALLATION
    2. MANUAL INSTALL (if needed)

I can setup a wordpress site from scratch in matter of days and that's because I'm a software developer.

If you have all the copy and images already available then setting up Wordpress can be really quick and achievable in a few hours for a small site.

I would recommend to try Tilda. It's much more easier and fastest.

Takes my develop a number of days to do it from scratch.

Take your time though; if it takes 3 weeks to do it right, spend 3 weeks. Fab better to craft a rocking site then rushing through the process to create low quality work.
