Google Chrome OS over ride

I have a Chrome Book that can not be returned. However I want to install a different OS to run a program that is available in Windows, Mac, Andriod and Linux. The laptop is not even 3 months old can a Windows Operating System be installed on the Chromebook ? Or should I find a programmer and have them install Linux to get the program installed.

Note I called customer support but was ran in circles to be told it could void the damage warranty. I really do not care if it voids the warranty because it is only going to run 1 basic program not be used for work or anything else.

What's the model of your Chromebook? After googling around a little bit it seems like getting Ubuntu installed on there should be pretty straightforward. Check out the step-by-step guide here!

Just an update leaving it alone now and using it strictly for something else. The computer is fine for a cheapy cheap laptop.
