WP User Generated Site - Is This Possible?

Ok, here is what I want to do. I have 2 different domain names that I want to use for a "user generated" site.

Let me explain what I mean. What I want it to do is to let the visitors create all the content. So basically they will visit the site, log in (I assume) and then post. That post would then show up as the next blog post with the ability to comment.

They would click contribute, it would then take them to a page with a form. The top line of the form would say Dear: (then a box for them to write the title)

Below that would be a body that they could enter the text. Once they click submit it would show up as a blog post with other visitors/users being able to reply or comment on the blog post.

Any suggestions on how to go about setting this up?

    I'm not sure if it's that simple but in your WP admin, under Settings->General, where it says "New User Default Role" you can choose to make everyone an author when they sign up

      I thought about doing that but I figured it might get out of hand. They would go wild and just post whatever they wanted.

      The idea I was going with is there would be a form they could fill in and then it would post. It would be limited to how many characters they could use.

      I will look into the author idea a little more.
