I'm having compatibility issues with archived Genesis SLEEK child theme, it's crashing...

I am using the StudioPress archived Sleek theme (2012) for our website. I updated to the latest WordPress revision and followed by updating the plug-ins, then the site crashed and we had to roll it back to recover my content. Any thoughts on resolving this? Also, I am interested in moving to a new theme that is more responsive and scalable, but all of our thousands of photos are sized to 610 x 220 pixels to fit the Sleek theme's slider and article format. I'm wondering if there is an appropriate theme that would allow me to keep these photo sizes since I will not be able to locate all of the original photos. My site is at www.greencarjournal.com. Thanks for any input or suggestions.

Thank you.

Parks.

I dont know if their themes do or do not support your image sizes, but optimizepress is a pretty impressive plugin.

However, the image size restriction should not pose to much of an obstacle if you have someone write up a custom script that will automatically resize ALL of your images to a preset size.

This could easily be accomplished using PHP, and if you decided to go that route, i could write up some code that would allow you to do this.
