Help with a new project

Hi everyone. I am working on a new project and I need some help. I want to develop a site like www.mint.com (freemium) but I don't know where to start. Is this a SaaS? What language should I use to code? How is this hosted?

I am not going to do it myself as this is not my area of expertise, but I want to be able to know where to start. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    You can try reverse engineering mint.com, basically, to begin with, you could think of a simple finance management mobile app then add a web version to it, then add integrations with various banks etc.

    Don't over complicate this, you won't get from 0 to mint.com, just start with simple mobile app (or web app), you don't need anything special for that to begin with.

    May I also know what do you hope to achieve with this project? What is your dream end goal for it?

      Thanks for replying to my post. I am going to take your advice and start with something simple as a web app. What do I want to achieve? Well, basically I am trying to create a fremium app that will bring some extra income and get more traffic to my blog.
  • The best programming language for your project is to use somthing like Ruby, Go, Java or Python also you need to use some big data databases or cloud datastores also you need a power cloud server because you want to make a large web app.
