In order to give you any proper advice we would need to know the theme that you are using. The short answer is yes Go to Appearance/Editor and move the widgets around that you want to use by dragging and dropping. If we have the url for the theme it will tell us if the theme is widgetized or if the theme has a hard coded sidebar. If hard coded you will need to go usually to the sidebar.php file and do some editing on a copy (in case you make a mistake). If you don't want a sidebar at all then you can make a page template to use that doesn't have the sidebar.
