IIS or Apache for Coldfusion

I'm newbie. I hope some Coldfusion expert can help me here.

I'm using Coldfusion. I don't host any web site yet.

Which HTTP server or web server should I prefer for Coldfusion? Internet Information Services or Apache?

Or should I just use Built-in Server first for practise, and then only choose IIS or Apache when I'm ready to host the web.

  • The web server does not matter when talking about ColdFusion. What you need to look for is a hosting provider that offers a ColdFusion server. I have never used a service provider that offered a ColdFusion option, but I am certain they are out there somewhere. In this instance Google and other peoples experience will be most helpful.
