Help or advice asked for

HI,

Not been here for a long time and hope some advice or help can be given here.

I want to create an e-book where once the customer accesses their purchase they can input information into several fields which then parse said info into the book thereby personalizing it for that reader.

I'm reminded of mail merging on emails. Snippets of code, placed within the text that then absorb the relevant information given form the fields presented...

Can anyone help or advise

Many thanks

In this scenario your email copy needs to be concise and captivating in order to entice people to opt in .

You might also want to split test 1 or 2 different sequencs to see what formula works best.

Hi Jamell, thanks for taking time to reply. There would be a sales/landing page, purchase process and then login to fill in the required details in the fields presented. Hope that makes sense

Hi Raynic, Im not aufait with what language it needs to be in. My best description of what is needed is imagining any autorespoder that inputs names etc into mass emails from a list. Mail merge if you will. But with different information.

Hope that helps. Thanks for taking time to reply James

It sounds like you want to create an e-book that allows customers to input information into fields, which then gets parsed into the book to personalize it for each reader, similar to mail merging on emails.

      Hi Ashna,

Thats exactly what I am looking to do. A web page with instructions, design, and several fields that a reader can input then generate the ebook with them in it as the main protagonist.

You have to research first and then work on both and hen wait to see which one is much effective.

    You have to research first

That is what he's doing by asking his questions here.

Hello! Glad to hear that you want to write a book! Personally, I like the last option the most. I already want to read this book and discuss it with you on this forum. Therefore, good luck in writing and inspiration!

      Hi Mellisa,

thanks for taking time to reply. I do think that the idea is a good one and appreciate your comments and reply. I've tried chat gpt to get the coding etc but as a non techie I find it challenging to implement what it puts out. Onward and upward though
      Thanks again

I want to create an e-book where once the customer accesses their purchase they can input information into several fields which then parse said info into the book thereby personalizing it for that reader.

Remembered this thread when i ordered a customized book last week. A family member has a new baby and I found a website that takes the baby's name and creates a book USING that name as part of the title and in the story.

You choose what the 'baby' looks like - everything from bald to blond to dark hair, male or female, etc....and there is a page where YOU write a message to the baby and sign your name.

I do not know what tools or script they use but would be worth looking at that site - it is wonderbly dot com (I am not associated with it in any way.)

The book was not cheap - i think $60-70....but it's a gift that will last. I gave it to the young mother yesterday and her comment was 'you won the baby gift lottery'. There may other sites like that and checking those out may be a good place to start.

Books like that are unique gifts and I have a feeling the profit margins are fantastic.
