Wordpress blog location

I changed the canonical URL of my site to www. from a non-www address. My wordpress directory is inside a sub-directory called 'blog'. Whenever I went to the wordress it would show up as 'http://example.com/blog' instead of 'http://www.example.com/blog'. So I went under settings and changed the location of the blog from 'http://example.com/blog' to 'http://www.example.com/blog'; I was logged out and now I cannot log back in and I'm assuming its because the location of the blog is not matching up to where the other files are as the "www." versus non-www has some kind of effect on where the server is looking for files.

Any ideas on how I can fix this to log back in? Ideally I'd like the blog to work from "http://www.example.com/blog"

Thanks!

    Ive done this before.

What I did was log into cPanel then PHPMyAdmin and found the settings in the DB and changed the URL back.
