PHP at the very bottom?

I heard from many people that web development is at the very bottom of programming, and C++,C, C sharp coders are at the top and they get much more money.

Is that really true?!

  • It's not exactly true... It depends on how you use it, and where you work for. Any Good PHP programmer can probably do C, C++, Java, C# without to much of a problem. (and vise versa).

    PHP coders, from India, Ukraine, etc drive the price of what we're willing to pay for a PHP coder down. But I know several PHP coders who make over $100/hr+ writting scripts for others.
