How to Make a Ping Server?

I always see ping sites and rss aggregation sites but I was wanting to make my own ping site in order to help collect links easily. Any ideas on how to make a ping server or if there are existing scripts available?

    • I did ask google many times but did not find what I was looking for. Mostly I was searching for scripts but this guide might work. I will check it out, thanks Lisa.
